Faye was stood in her kitchen patiently waiting for Cory's arrival when she heard a knock on the back door, she gave it a few seconds not wanting Cory to think she was eagerly waiting for him on the other side of the door even though she definitely was.
After waiting a total of ten seconds she opened the door to see Cory stood, his hands in his pockets and he sent her a small smile.
"Hey", he simply greeted.
"Come in", she replied as she began walking away from the door and towards the living room before sitting down on the sofa, Cory shut the back door before standing in front of Faye, the pair in silence that was almost unbearable.
"So what did you wanna talk about?", Faye asked not wanting to be sat in silence any longer.
"Us", Cory answered getting straight to the point.
"What about us, Cory?", she replied as she simply looked to him for the answer, she could tell he was nervous and she had never really seen him so vulnerable.
"I just wanted to know if there was even a little bit of hope for us to get back together, fucking hell I miss you like crazy Faye", Cory declared as he looked down to Faye who was silent before she stood from the sofa slowly, turning to face him.
"Well you should have thought about how much you'd miss me before you asked for Riz's sister number and then started texting her like the stupid fuckboy you are", Faye screamed but instantly calmed down having seen the sunken look on Cory's face.
"Is that really all you think I am, some fuckboy, you do realise that I changed to be a better person for you, you and only you", he shouted back wanting nothing more than to just have Faye back in his arms again.
"I never asked you to change, I just wanted you to respect me and show loyalty to this relationship but you couldn't even do that after being in a relationship for less than 24 fucking hours so I'm sorry if I'm a bit against the idea of us starting again", Faye shouted her arms flying around to show her anger.
"I messed up ok, big time and I know that but these past few days have been hell for me and I've learnt how important you are to me, I need you Faye and I know you need me too", Cory stated, his voice lowering slowly.
"How do you know what I need?", Faye questioned her voice raised.
"Oh yeah I forgot Scott knows what's best for you now, doesn't he?", Cory scoffed remembering how Scott was quick to defend Faye earlier on.
"Don't be so bitter Cory, Scott means well", Faye stated defending Scott.
"Can't you see, he's trying to ruin any remaining chance of a relationship between us", Cory argued trying to make Faye understand that maybe Scott's intentions weren't all good.
"No Cory, that was all you", Faye shouted back not believing he would blame someone else for his mistakes.
A long silence engulfed the pair as they both tried to grasp what they had both said.
"Faye, please, I love you just let me prove to you that I'm better", Cory whispered as he came to stand directly in front of Faye, their chests touching as he gently cupped her face with his hand which ultimately made Faye weak, she knew she'd give into Cory eventually she had just hoped she would have lasted a bit longer then a few days.
But Nas was right, she had been miserable without Cory and although it scared her to know he had that much control over her emotions, she knew she needed him and she couldn't deny she still loved and cared for him.
"Cory?", Faye whispers looking up to meet his eyes.
"Yeah?", Cory asked staring down into her ocean eyes.
