[Peter]

"Out. Now" Tony said, eyes still glued to me
The people sat around the meetings table grumbled before getting up and leaving

"What are you doing here?"
"I came here to see you, Obviously?"
Tony sighed and turned to the table

He had a lost look in his eyes when he turned me once more and he struggled to find something to say for a second

"You never showed me.."
"You never asked to see what he did" I replied without missing a beat. He cringed at that, probably insulting himself at how fast he was to throw me to the side and stop trusting me

If he did start trusting me. We could say the guns were proof to an extent, but he never gave them to me. I found them in the car, he didn't get the chance to gift them to me.

"Sweetheart, I'm—" "It's Peter"
He swallowed and tried again, trudging towards me as if I was some angry, injured animal that would attack at any given moment

"Peter.. I'm so sorry this happened to you.."
"Is a sorry all I'm getting?" I asked, keeping the hopefulness from seeping into my voice

"I'm not sure what you want me to say.."
"How about we start with why the fuck you threw me out, huh?" I uncrossed my arms and walked to one of the chairs

"I.. I was afraid for you" "we all know that's a lie. Did you really think I would betray you?"

"A part of me did.." he started, eyes cast down in shame "A part of me knew you wouldn't be safe here.. you need to leave"

"Are you kicking me out again?!" I asked, standing up and glaring at the taller man
He held himself back from answering and looked away from me

"Classy, Tony. Real classy"
I walked to where I dropped my things and picked them up, ready to leave

"I- I don't want you to leave"
"Then what do you want?! To fuck with my feelings? Cause congratulations, you have!"

"I want you to be safe!" He yelled back, the fire that was hidden deep in his eyes surfacing for only a fraction of a second before it went dormant again in the black pools of his eyes

"You need to stay away from me. That's the only way! You need to leave.. to get away from here" he continued, a lot calmer
"You can go and live with your aunt. That way you'll be safe, I'll make sure you're protected. Just—"
"Aunt may?! What?.." I cut in, confused

"She doesn't live in the best neighborhood, I know that, but my men are still there and I'll send more! We're not sure powerful this thing is.. I can relocate you two temporarily. And your buddies too."

'Men are still there? What men.. what is he talking about? What thing? Why does he look.. afraid..?'

".. you either tell me what's going on or I'm figuring it out on my own.."
He looked defeated. Like he didn't have the will to yell at me again or even talk

"I am going to help. You need me. You already know that.. so when do I start?"
Before he could answer the door opened, a man with black hair popped his head in

"You two done? This is kind of serious, you know.."
"Yeah! We're done here. I'll see you next week.."
"Banner, doctor banner.. or just call me Bruce"

I felt myself freeze for a second
It got hot and then cold for a drawn-out moment before I pulled myself together "Banner is fine.. goodbye"

"Bye..? Tony what's going on?"
I didn't stay to hear his answer. I cared to see if he was okay, but I didn't want to. I was going to pretend like I didn't.

I was going to focus on whatever is happening and try my best to help..
