"Come on, Please! He is nice, why can't he sleep over! He's my friend and I never have friends over! Why can't you let me have him over for a sleepover?" Jamie whaled throwing his hands all over. Why couldn't he have a friend his own age? Why did it have to be this man whose family messed with my life and almost killed me? If it was any other person I would have been less hesitant, but this man just needs to get out of my life. As much I just want to say yes because of how Jamie's friend life is I don't want him in my house, being a reminder of the horrid place. As I was about to tell Jamie no, I saw the tears welling up in his puppy dog eyes.

"You know I can't say no to the puppy dog eyes and I know you do it on purpose. As much as I don't like him and I want him gone. He hasn't done anything to me personally to harm me so I guess he can spend the night in the guest room and you have to be ready for school and I'll let you stay up until 9:30 so you can hang out with your new friend, but you owe me big time, mister." I said as Jamie started jumping up and down so happily shouting his thanks about a hundred times as he ran off probably to tell Blake he gets to stay.

I went back to cleaning my room from the dust of not being here for two weeks. My mind kept wandering away from cleaning and onto the 'mob war' that Blake has dragged me into that I know nothing about. The more I thought about it the more my anxiety rose about this war being a real thing and for some reason I'm the key in keeping my family and his safe.

He did save you when he found you and took care of you and took you home and is keeping you and your family safe.

I hate when my little voice is right. Blake had done nothing but help me since he found me but I can't help but to think that it's a trick to hurt me if I drop my guard. It's bad enough I'm letting him stay in the house for the night now i have a part of me wanting to forgive him for everything and get closer to him.

My mind had wandered for so long that when I had gone down stairs it was already dark out and someone was in the kitchen making something that smelt amazing. I followed the smell to see Blake and Jamie working together stirring food in a pan. Looking closer I saw that it was chicken stir-fry, one of my favorite meals. As they were cooking I went to set the table and getting two extra plates to take up to G and pop.

"Cas! We're making your favorite for letting us have a sleepover as a thank you!" James exclaimed when he heard me getting the plates then went back to cooking. I looked over to them stopping to admire how nice it is to see Jamie so happy. I couldn't help but look over at Blake, noticing his muscles tensing slightly every time he stirred the food. He wasn't overly muscled but there was a lot of definition. Something I found oddly comforting in the part of me that wanted him to not be a mob boss. The way he was with Jamie made that side of me feel a bit better. The other side of me worried that if he was a good guy, why would he need to be so ripped?

"For someone who says they don't like me, you sure look like you're having a good time staring at me." Blake said making me jump, as he turned to put the food on the table while James finished setting the table for me.

Feeling flustered I sat down stammering that I wasn't staring but knew I couldn't make him believe it. Jamie sat across from me while Blake sat next to me making my hair stand on the back of my neck. Blake leaned over close so Jamie couldn't hear him which unsettled me when he spoke.

"You don't have to blush, I work out for a reason." He whispered, sending chills down my spine by the way his voice got deeper than it already was. He cleared his throat as he helped himself to some food and even put some on my plate as my mind was still reeling from his comment.

"Cas, Guess what," James said snapping me out of my stupor making me look at him humming at him in response, "Blake helped me get ready for school! We got my clothes ready, my school work that I was stuck on done, and he even help me pack my lunch."
