~Your Pov~

You stood at the bar, preparing drinks for the gambling patrons. It had taken an hour past opening time for the Devil to get off his ass and come down to the casino. You wished he wasn't this lazy, but you kept a smile on your face anyways. It made you feel better, remembering that he was finally comfortable with his existence, and could actually do what he was supposed to do, instead of moping around all day.

He did what he usually did ever since you came back. He would check the tables for anyone feeling lucky, and come over by you for a shot of whiskey, and a kiss on the cheek whenever he finished. He would try to kiss you on the lips, but you were highly against that. The disgusting smell of whiskey on his breath was enough to make you tilt back at nearly a ninety degree angle. When that didn't stop him, a good shove to the face was a clear enough answer. So he only got a kiss on his fluffy cheek. He would try to trick you by turning his face last second to steal a kiss on the lips, but you were too quick for him, and would reel your head back before you and him connected.

Today, business was really booming. Lots of people were coming in to gamble, and many of them got a bit too cocky. Losing their souls to the Devil wasn't what they were expecting, even you weren't expecting it. You always expected people to be smarter than this, but you guessed that greed was just something that every person had. It was hard to see the poor people losing their souls like that. No matter how many times you've seen it, you can never get used to it. It hurts you, hearing them scream like that and beg for mercy. You wished you could do something about it, but you couldn't interfere. They had placed the bet, not you. You had no place in the matter, and even though you wanted to make a place for yourself, you just couldn't. You had to accept things as the way they are. Greed will always be around, and some will possess it more than others.

Around the end of the day, when you were helping the other's close up the casino, the Devil decided to have a mini celebration for how many souls they had collected today. He had the staff bring out his hidden stash of moonshine, and told everyone to drink to their hearts content. He then cast a spell to make sure no one would get alcohol poisoning. You were reluctant to even sip the moonshine, knowing it was very strong, and that you didn't like alcohol all that much. So, you treated yourself to a small glass of wine. The Devil continuously insisted that you should live a little and get drunk like the others. You knew you needed to stay sober in order to clean the place up like the last time everyone got drunk, so you refused. However, him constantly insisting upon you was getting annoying, that you were considering just one glass of moonshine just to make him shut up.

You sighed and said, "What the hell?" Then you allowed him to pour some of the moonshine into your glass. Most of it had spilled on the floor due to him already being drunk and barely able to stand. He was leaning on you for support, so before you even took a sip of the hardcore alcohol, you helped him over to the bar so he could lean on it. You took one sip of the drink in your hand and immediately pulled your head back, shaking it. "Damn, that stuff is strong." you said, looking back down at it. The Devil tried to say something, but all that came out were hiccups and slurred words that you couldn't understand. You took a deep breath, looking back down at your drink. You knew he would probably keep annoying you until you drank the whole glass.
"Screw it." you muttered. You placed the glass against your lips, tipped the bottom up, and gulped it down. You immediately felt the effects coming on. For a moment, it felt like your throat was on fire, but that quickly went away, and was replaced by a unknown feeling. It felt good however. You realized you weren't too drunk from it already, so maybe another drink of it wouldn't hurt.
You asked the Devil for another glass, to which he happily, but drunkily, obliged to. He poured you another one with his sloppy movements, and you gulped that one down as well.

Soon two glasses turned into three, then to four, then to five, then you ended up losing count of how many you were having. You could no longer process anything that was going on anymore. Your brain felt like it had shut down, but you could still function your body. The only thing you could feel was an immense pleasuring feeling that you had never felt before. You wanted the feeling to last forever, even though you had no idea where it was coming from.
Soon enough, exhaustion took over, and you felt like you were completely out of it. You wanted to just sleep where you were, not a care in the world, but you felt two arms sluggishly lift you up, and someone carrying you in a wobbly fashion out of the casino. You felt something soft, so you guessed it was the Devil, carrying to his room.
You felt him set you on the bed, and crawl in next to you, then everything became a blur after that.
