Confusion, sadness, anger and disbelief were only the few things that described how I was feeling and this point. El lied. She seriously lied. I looked around to see the whole group in tears and disbelief.

"Mike.." El started, trying to put her hand on him only for Mike to slap it away roughly.

"Mike? Mike what?! You were supposed to help us find him alive, you said he was alive! Why did you lie to us?! What's wrong with you? What. Is. Wrong. With. You?!"

"Mike..." She says again.

"What?!"
El doesn't respond to him, she only cried harder. Mike starts heading for his bike angrily.

"Mike, come on don't do that man." Lucas says, trying to get him to stop.

"Mike, where are you going? Mike!" Dustin joins, but he doesn't listen. Mike gets on his bike and rides off quickly.

I felt dizzy and uneasy all at once. I tried to calm myself but I couldn't overcome the commotion of El and the boys in the background. The urge to run towards his body grew stronger each second until it happened.

"WILL!" My scream was followed by me dashing towards him. "Please, Will! No.." More tears began to flow and stain my cheeks.

Dustin's Pov

I couldn't believe it. My best friend was gone this whole time, and I was out chasing nothing. Right after I told El to just leave she did, but YN went running directly toward Will and the ambulance. She was screaming and crying and it hurt to see her like that. It hurt to see my best friend's once alive and well body, get pulled out of the water. I quickly ran over to her and pulled her away before Hopper could say anything.

"Hey, hey, hey. Calm down, okay?" I say, pushing a strand of hair out of YN's face.

"He's gone, Dusty. Gone." She sobs more and more.  I didn't have anymore words because I was so hurt. An officer gave me, Lucas and YN a ride home since it was so late and promised to make sure our bikes would be returned. Honestly I wasn't getting any sleep tonight.

Mike's Pov

I was down in the basement flipping through drawings that Will did when El kept messing with my walkie talkie, making it make annoying sounds.

"Can you please stop that." I say bitterly, glaring at her.

She only continued to mess with it.

"Are you deaf? I thought we were friends ya know? and friends tell each other the truth, and they definitely don't lie to each
other. You made me think Will was okay, that he was still out there but he wasn't. He wasn't! Maybe you thought you were helping but you weren't. You hurt me! Do you understand? What you did sucks."

El just continued to give me a sad and pathetic look, she had nothing to say at all.
"Lucas was right about you, all along."
She looked down once more before I hear the walkie talkie pick something up.

"Come on and let me know, should I say or should I go."

As soon as I recognize the voice to be Will's, I look up and toward El's direction. Her nose was slightly bleeding.

"Should I stay or should I go now?" He sang once more.

I quickly jumped off the couch and crouched on the floor next to El who handed me the walkie talkie.

"If I go there will be trouble, if I stay there will be double." Will sang again.

"Will, is that you?? It's Mike! Do you copy? Over." I shout through the device.

Silence.

"Will, are you there?? Will?!"

Nothing but static came from it.

"Was that...was it..?"

"Will." Eleven answers.

YN's Pov
I was woke up the next morning by my mom telling me not to worry about going to school today, so I just stayed in bed. I didn't wanna move or eat. All I wanted was sleep.

KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK

Three loud knocks came from downstairs, causing me to jump. I quickly jumped out of bed and ran downstairs to answer the door. I opened it to none other Dustin and Lucas.

"What could you guys possibly want? I'm not in the mood." I say crossing my arms.

"Mike told me to bring you and Dustin to his house. It's about Will."

I sigh and give Lucas a confused look, "The funeral?"
"He says screw the funeral. Just come on."
As soon as I ran upstairs and got ready I headed back out and we took off to Mike's house. Down in his basement we sat in a circle next to El's fort as she toyed with the walkie talkie.

"We keep loosing signal, but you hear it right?!" Mike says, looking around the group.

"Yeah," Lucas says, "I heard a baby."

"What?"

"Mike, you obviously tapped into a baby monitor. It's probably the Blackburns' next door."

"Uh, did that sound like a baby to you? That was Will!" Mike continues.

"Mike..."

"Lucas, you don't understand. He spoke last night. Words! He was singing that weird song he loves. Even El heard him!"

"Oh, well, if the weirdo heard him then I guess—"

"Are you sure you're on the right channel?" Dustin cuts in.

"I don't think it's that. I think, somehow, she's channeling him."

"Like...like Professor X." Dustin says, and Mike nods smiling at him.

"What do you think, YN?" Lucas asks.

"I think they're delusional and I'm not getting sucked into her bullshit again." I say, glaring at El.

"Do you remember when Will fell off his bike and broke his finger?" Dustin asks, "It kind of sounds like that."

I mean, did they not see what I saw? They pulled Will's body out of the water. He's gone. Dead.

"Will is alive. Will is alive! He's out there somewhere. All we have to do is find him." Mike says, "This walkie talkie isn't going to work. We need something stronger."

"Mr. Clarke's Heathkit ham shack." I say, and they all nod.
