Ella's p.o.v
"What are you guys hiding from me?." I said as i entered my brother's room the following morning. He looked up from his phone, he didn't say a word. What is wrong with him. "Aren't you gonna tell me what is really going on?." "Ella , its complicated." he said dropping his phone unto the bed.
I don't understand why he cant tell me, we are family, we literally tell each other everything. I looked at him, maybe he didn't trust me anymore. I stood up and walked out of his room.
My parents had gone out, so i walked downstairs to prepare my breakfast.
Saturdays are always boring for me, i always end up crashing at home or if Ethan asked me to hang out then i would hang out with him. Ethan is a nice person, he always cared and he was selfless. He would help any way he could. Yes , he is popular but he never let it get to his head, he associated with the 'Nerd's', the 'Goths'. All the creepy people and socially awkward students , he talked to them all.
Ethan is the perfect boyfriend and i trust him with all my heart. Its hard moving when you are in high school but i had no choice and now i really have no friends except for the 'musketeer's'. Don't get me wrong, they are nice and fun but they aren't really people i would really call my friends.
I heard noise coming from my brother's room. I don't understand what's suddenly happening to this family but if he is gonna keep on behaving like this then i'm out.
After eating breakfast, i grabbed my coat and went out for a walk to clear my head. I stopped at the park, you could hear the laughter and the buzz of energy.
I look round and spot all the children playing carefree not wondering about a single thing, just simply being children . i wish I could be soo care free, but when you are a teenager things change .
well, I'm actually a loner now. The people I'm supposed to confide in are keeping secrets from me and I really have no one to talk to. I think about calling Ethan for a second, but I don't.
I walked up to the ice cream store nearby. The place looked so nice and Jay told me they have the best ice cream. As I entered I went straight to the counter to order a chocolate ice cream. I love ice cream, always makes me feel better. As I turn to get a table I spotted Alex , Jay and Aiden at a table beside the window. And as Jay spotted me he shouted my name making Aiden whose back was turned to me to look back and also spot me.
Great!!. Now i have to go over there. I walked up to them and sat beside Alex, so I was sitting directly opposite Aiden. He stared at me for a while before facing the ice cream before him. Rude much?
Alex turned so he could face me 'what have you been up to?' he askes me and I shrug cause i really haven't been up to anything.
'Hey,Ella, u want anything?' Jay hollers. Yeah, forgot why I was here. Silly me. 'No worries,ill just go order it ' i said getting up but Alex pulls me back. 'Ella,sit. We are going to get a refill anyways' ,Alex says as he stands up. He asked Aiden if he want anything but Aiden just shakes his head signalling a 'no'.
Alex heads to the counter and Jay follows him leaving me on the table with Aiden. Awkward is the best way to describe what comes after. We just sit there in silence. I pick up my phone and scan through it and later I feel a pair of eyes on me. And as I look up I'm locked in Aiden's gaze and everything turns to mush,'Here Ella, chocolate as you wanted' and we break eye contact as Alex slumps beside me. And all of a sudden tension feels the air. And at the end of the day im left wandering if that little moment was real or I imagined it.
As I was leaving I was called back to get the ice cream I initially ordered and forgot about. Double ice cream. I smiled as I walked out of the shop licking my ice cream.
