Chapter 15

Shit. I get up and follow Arlissa and see her enter the bathroom. I enter the bathroom and the sound of someone crying could be heard.
"Arlissa, I know you're in here" I said, knocking on the last bathroom stall.
"Please go away Shanae" Arlissa replies with sobs in between.
"I'm not going anywhere, I know you won't listen to me but I'll still tell you what exactly happened" I said and sat on the cold tiled floor.
"The first time I saw Jarelle he looked like a guy who would have a lot of side chicks in a relationship, and I somehow started catching feelings for him. Everything was going so good, then the incident happened with Mr. Paedo aka Mr. Morris. Everything sort of changed after that, including my feelings for Jarelle, he became more of a friend than a love interest. And some good things came out of all of this like Lucius kissing me, Me friend zoning Jarelle and improving my friendship with you and the others. And I am so sorry if you think I'm trying to take Jarelle away from you. It was never my intention, I just wanted to pair both of y'all up" I explained. There was a long silence before Arlissa opened the door. She plopped her butt down beside me and said, " I'm also sorry for reacting this way. I was just hurt and angry that Jarelle had asked you on a date before taking my virginity,"

"I would never do that to you girl. You're my friend and plus I'm shipping both of y'all together. What kind of person would I be if I don't set y'all up together"

We hugged and watched When They See Us on Netflix. We ended up crying and eating chocolate on the bathroom floor. The bell rang for lunch and we switched my laptop off and packed up our stuff. We walked to the cafeteria together and stood in the lunch line. We took some mac'n cheese, French fries and two popsicles each. We spotted the group at a nearby table and sat down. There was an awkward silence after we sat down making me very uncomfortable. I ignored the silence and started eating. Fortunately the silence was broken by Alana.

"Are y'all good now?"

"Yeah, we really bonded in the bathroom"

"Mhhmmm" I replied

I took my popsicle and started sucking it. Unaware that someone was watching me.
The bell rang and we all got up to go to class. I had a free period so I decided to take a walk in the woods. After my short walk, I was walking to my locker when all of a sudden I was pulled from behind and shoved into an empty classroom. I kept on kicking and moving so I could be free. The person removed their hands from my mouth and turned me around pushing me against the door. I looked up saw the piercing grey eyes of Lucius and I immediately calmed down.

"Lucius you can't keep on doing that" I whispered
"I was honestly scared"
"I'm sorry" he mumbles and nestles his head in the arc of my neck. "I just needed to see you and feel those lips of yours again"
I smiled and wrapped my hands around his neck pulling him closer.
"You know, there's a way I can forgive you" I said
"Oh really" he replied as he bent down, his lips against my cheek, brushing it lightly-and still that light touch sent shivers through my nerves, shivers that made my whole body tremble. "If you want me to stop, tell me now," he whispered. When I still said nothing, he brushed his mouth against the hollow of my temple. "Or now." He traced the line of my cheekbone. "Or now." His lips were right in front of mine any closer and we would've kissed.

"Or-"

But I had reached up and pulled him down to me, and the rest of his words were lost against my mouth. He kissed me gently, carefully, but it wasn't the gentleness I wanted, not now, not after all this time, and I knotted my fists in his shirt, pulling him harder against my body. He groaned softly, low in his throat, and then his arms circled me, gathering me against him, and he carried me onto a table tangled together, still kissing.
We are kissing like crazy. Like our lives depend on it. His tongue slips inside my mouth, gentle but demanding, and it's nothing like I've ever experienced, and I suddenly understand why people describe kissing as melting because every square inch of my body dissolves into his. My fingers grip his hair, pulling him closer if that's even possible. My veins throb and my heart explodes. I have never wanted anyone like this before. Ever. He pushes me backward and we're lying down, I don't care if anyone walks in. All I want is Lucius. The weight of his body on top of mine is extraordinary. I feel him-all of him-pressed against me, and I inhale his shaving cream, his shampoo, and that extra scent that's just ... him. The most delicious smell I could ever imagine.I want to breathe him, lick him, eat him, drink him. His lips taste like honey. His face has the slightest bit of stubble and it rubs my skin but I don't care, I don't care at all. He feels wonderful. His hands are everywhere, and it doesn't matter that his mouth is already on top of mine, I want him closer closer closer.
