"Are you looking for this?" He said, holding my notebook. I nodded, afraid my heart would erupt any second.

"Did you open it?"

If he did... it's over. He'll hate me without understanding. I held my breath behind pursed lips as he walked over to me.

"I didn't. Why? Is it your diary or something?" Curiosity marked his features. I wrapped my hands around my waist, shrugging with a sheepish smile.

"It's my journal." He handed it over to me and I took it back with shoulders slumped, the guilt tripping through my veins.

"Thank you," I said, voice empty.

"I'm glad I found it. Your house?" He pointed behind me and I nodded.

"Umm, do you want to stop by for lunch?" I asked hesitantly afraid my mom would bombard him with questions. She would possibly think he's my boyfriend because I never invited a guy over.

He shoved his hands in his pockets with an apologetic smile. "Maybe another time."

If only he knew what I have in it. Would he hate me for it or appreciate my effort? I couldn't even imagine his reaction. He waved me goodbye with a charming smile. I couldn't stop myself from turning back to him every second, but I only made it harder for myself because he didn't do the same.

I rested my face on my palm staring at the long equation then back at Mason's mouth that was moving too fast. My shoulders dropped when my eyes met Logan's right. We were separated by a small book aisle and he was busy explaining to Amy, a blonde petite girl in our class with blue eyes. She smiled dreamily nodding ever so slowly. Something so irritating swirled in my chest.

He was busy writing something down and I was busy wondering what she said that made him smile. I couldn't help it. Why couldn't I be the one that made him happy?

I narrowed my eyes as she pulled her chair closer to him. Why don't you just jump over him, huh? His eyes met mine and I yelped when the hand I was resting on the desk slipped off the edge. I heard Mason laugh uncontrollably under his breath while I covered my face with a copybook.

"I swear it my list should be named How to ruin all your chances with Logan," I mumbled.

"Would it be bad if I admitted you think out loud?"
