The big fight

Chaeyoung woke up a little late than normal, having gone to bed at 2:30 in the morning. She fixed herself, everything was going well when

"Son of a-" when Chaeyoung's foot came in contact with the door and the door opened

"What did that door ever do to you?" Jennie said on the couch reading a book

"it popped out of nowhere and hit my toe, that's what it did" Chaeyoung said glaring at the door

"Well," Jennie said coolly "Now that you've made your grand entrance, we can now join the other leaders in the hall"

"Why aren't you there already?" Confused Chaeyoung asked, as she knew that Jennie would always be the first one to arrive there

Chaeyoung might have been mistaken, but she could have sworn she saw Jennie's cheeks turned the slightest shade of pink "Wouldn't want you to look bad, would we? Were stronger as one unit not two" Jennie said

They walked through the walls of the university peacefully when

"Why didn't you wake me up for patrolling last night?" Jennie asked with a small glare

Ah... the real reason she waited for Chaeng "I thought I could handle it alone last night, since you were already asleep. Only half of us were there. Why does it make you so angry when I was only trying to be nice"

"They're my duties also" Jennie said quickly "They shouldn't be neglected because I've fallen asleep"

That wasn't the reason why Jennie was angry, but Chaeyoung thankfully bought it. If she was being honest with herself, she didn't even know why she was angry. The duties part did comprise a part of her anger, but she couldn't put her finger on the real reason. It was also the real reason why Jennie waited for Chaeyoung. For some weird reason Jennie felt that being with Chaeyoung was the place to be at the moment, and it confused Jennie why that was so

"Well I'm sorry I didn't wake you up then" said a Confused Chaeyoung

Jennie didn't miss the sarcasm but decided not to comment on it, having more pressing matters at hand. Namely, the appearance of a certain fifteen year old boy who had dumped her best friend last night. She took a deep breath and was about to yell at him to come over to her when Chaeyoung touched her shoulder, non-verbally telling her that she would handle this. She looked up to Chaeyoung and felt unexplained anxiousness and fear grip her body. Chaeyoung's glare alone could've matched that of a snake at that point in time, her brown eyes smoldering. What Chaeyoung did next surprised Jennie. Chaeng put her arms out and greeted Jacob like an old friend.

"Jacob, The guy I've been looking for" Chaeyoung said smiling, Jacob looked at Chaeng confused for the fact that they never have spoken before "Jacob can I talk to you really quickly? I have a favor to ask you" Chaeyoung said, much too sweetly Jennie noticed

Jennie also noticed that Chaeyoung's hands curl into fists as the boy approached and immediately knew what was going to happen next... and she found out that she wasn't in the mood to stop it

As Andrew got close to Chaeyoung, the girl's fist moved back ready to deliver a haymaker. Jacob's nervous smile was soon replaced by a look of horror milliseconds before Chaeyoung's fist met his jaw with a pop, sending him to the ground in daze and you know what happens next

Jinyoung arrived at the scene with Doyoung and when Jinyoung saw Jacob on the ground, he smirked and ran to him "Get up, you," said Jinyoung savagely. "It's my turn. You think you're a man for being able to break my sister's heart just because she wouldn't put out? Let's see how much of a man you are when faced with a real test." Jinyoung said putting his fists in a fighting posture

Chaeyoung smirked when Jacob shrieked "What the hell?!" and the boy looked at Jennie "You're not just going to stand there and let this happen, are you?"

Jennie answered with a nod and Jinyoung started to punch him again when someone stopped him

"Jinyoung Hyung don't beat him up, You're older and it's unfair, let me do it"

Daniel said smirking which surprised the crowd as Daniel was always the nice guy

"What's up Jacob ready for round three?" Daniel said before punching the boy as hard as he can but someone suddenly stopped him

It was Andrew, Ari's godfather and a teacher "Daniel stop! I don't want to suspend you!"

"Andrew let go of me!" Daniel shouted "He broke up with Ari because she wouldn't have sex with him!"

With that Andrew let Daniel free and walked away

After the fight Chaeyoung shouted "Don't ever get near our sister for the rest of your miserable life!"

And with that Jennie got her first aid kit and healed their bruises one by one and Chaeyoung was last

For some reason, Jennie's face seemed to be getting closer to Chaeyoung's, her eyes starting to drift closed. And Chaeyoung seized up, her eyes going wide. Chaeyoung pulled back, gently pushing Jennie's shoulders away from her. "Wait, this is wrong," Chaeyoung said breathily with little conviction, trying to compose herself.

Jennie snapped out of her trance, blushing madly all the way to the roots of her hair. "Oh, Merlin," she said. "I-I have to go...right now," she said before going to the direction of the Enteil common room

And Chaeyoung smiled a tired smile. She didn't regret her decision to stop Jennie one bit. Because she knew more about her than she did at the moment. Jennie was confused, and in denial, and attracted to her physical features. That almost-kiss would've been a heat of the moment kiss more than anything else

And Jennie would've realized what she had done and hated not only herself for it, but unfairly blamed Chaeyoung for it for whatever reason she could find. And they would be set back even farther than before, with Jennie probably ignoring Chaeyoung and thinking that Chaeng somehow manipulated her into kissing Chaeng. Denial was a terrible thing, sending even the smartest and nicest of people into a whirlwind of confusion and behavior that just didn't suit them

The other reason why Chaeng said no was that Jennie wasn't in love with her yet. Chaeng wanted them to be in love with each other when they kissed for the first time

Jennie was holding back tears as best she could as she briskly walked towards her old dorm.

'I'm not in love with Chaeyoung, I'm not in love with Chaeyoung' she kept telling herself

You say that, yet you can't resist being around her and constantly go out of your way just to get a glimpse of Cheng. Your heart beats faster when she's near and a smile appears on your face. You hope she'll look at you first when she enters a room, and—"Shut up!" she shouted at her mind with a hysterical edge to her voice

It was impossible, the ever-arrogant Park Chaeyoung was never right about anything! There was no way she was in love with her! She didn't even like Chaeng enough to consider befriending him!

Things change doesn't it

Shut up!

That was the end of the chapter I think I'm going to skip the Christmas ball because I don't know what to write on that part
