Chapter Fifteen

Bella's POV

It's been three days since the confrontation with the Denali sisters. I just hoped that they keep their promise and never bother me again, but there was a part of me that felt they wouldn't be keeping that promise. After that day my body grew weak again, I wondered if it had to do with all the running I did or if it was caused by the mating bond. Edward had risked his own life to protect me, if he hadn't whispered he loved me I wouldn't have known he was in danger at that moment. It infuriated me that they even laid there hands on my man, he didn't deserve to die because of something I did. She was going to kill me, so I feel I didn't do anything wrong. I warned her she didn't know who she was messing with, but the succubus didn't listen.

Suddenly Alice said, "Bella, show Rose what I saw you doing last weekend." I asked confused, "What are you talking about, Alice?" She rolled her eyes at me and replied, "That you're able to walk with ease again." I told her, "I can't." She responded, "And why not?" I growled out, "Because I'm so weak again. I can barely move. I don't know what happened?" Alice asked in a sadden tone, "Are you serious?" Tears were rolling down my face as I said, "Yes, I hate having to use a stupid wheelchair all the time."

They both remained speechless as I left the locker room, they just didn't know what to say. I just wanted to be alone at this moment, so I went outside instead of going to the gymnasium. After sneaking out of the building and got close to the woods as possible, I slowly got to my feet and stumbled forward. My breathing became ragged as I entered the woods, I leaned against the trees for support as I continued walking deeper into the woods.

After walking for about ten minutes I came to a stop, then I let my body fall to the ground. I stared up at the overcast sky and listened to the birds chirping in the distance, it was like music to my ears. My mind began to wander off as I laid there, Edward quickly consumed all my thoughts. He does love me, but he doesn't trust himself around me. His reason seemed stupid for not being with me; wouldn't it be easier to protect me, if he were with me. I was more than capable of protecting myself from him, but I knew I would never need to protect myself from him because he would never ever hurt me.

All of a sudden I realized my surroundings had grew extremely quiet, I decided to close my eyes and enhanced my hearing. Then I heard a branch snap in the distance, I could tell it was heading my way. I quickly got to my feet and took off running, but I collapsed to the ground because my legs were so weak. Two vampires stood on either side of me, their red eyes gave me the chills because it reminded me of the vampires who raped me back in Phoenix. One tilted its head to the side and said, "What a tasty little snack?" The other one growled out, "Her blood will taste so sweet." I growled out, "You're on Cullen territory, I suggest you leave or there will be consequences." They looked at me confused, before they started laughing.

Edward was behind me in less than second and growled, "Leave her alone." He pulled me up to my feet, then I leaned against him for support. One spoke in a sinister tone, "Oh, we'll leave her alone...when she's dead." Something clicked inside of me and rage flew through my entire being, I wanted to kill them more than anything at this moment. I growled out, "You're going to die for even saying that, red-eyed leech." My frame began shaking as anger coursed through me, they were going to die today. My body quickly grew stronger as my hatred for them grew stronger at the same time, they had no idea what I was capable of and would soon find out what I had in store for them.

Without warning I threw myself at the short brunette vampire and ripped her head off with ease, while her male companion stared in shock. His eyes grew dark in anger, then he lunged at me and screamed, "I'm going to end you, you f*cking b*tch!" I dodged him and grabbed onto his long blond hair harshly, he groaned in pain as cracks began forming in his neck. Then I ripped his head off without another single thought, the sickening crunch made me shiver in disgust and satisfaction at the same time.
