"Tagal naman sumagot, love." he said pouting when she finally answered his video call, "uy san ka na? Sumagot nga, hindi naman nagpapakita."
"Teka lang, love. Yung pawis ko kasi asan na ba yung towel ko?"
Kyle smiled upon hearing that, maybe the endearment that started off as a joke is growing on her too.
"Happy?"
"Naman. Ganda ng nung view ko e."
She gave him the look, "you're drunk. Hindi ka pa natutulog?"
"Not yet. Kauwi ko lang."
Kristina heaved out a sigh, "matulog ka na. I need to do one more lap too. Usap na lang tayo mamaya. Bye."
"Patch and I talked."
That statement stop her from ending the call.
"I just want you to know that we talked. I volunteered to drive her home kasi alam kong hindi yun titigil kapag hinayaan ko lang maiwan kila Martin e then we talked. We just talk."
"Usap lang?"
"Usap lang."
She smiled, "okay."
"Okay? Hindi ka galit?"
"Nope." she replied with a giggle.
"Hindi mo itatanong ano pinag-usapan namin?"
Kristina shook her head while trying to stop herself from beaming because of how worried Kyle looks right now. The guy really cares about her more than anything else.
"Kristina."
"Don't worry. I trust you. Alam kong hindi ka gagawa ng isang bagay na makakasakit sa akin."
"Thank you."
Kristina gave him a soft smile, "you better rest now. You look really tired and drunk."
Kyle is just smiling at her while trying to take in how lucky he is to found someone like her.
"Maligo ka and drink water before going to bed okay? Naamoy ko yung alak hanggang dito e." she added. "Hey Ton, are you listening to me?"
"Are you now willing to give us a try?"
Kristina was taken aback by his question, "wow. That came out of nowhere."
He face-palmed after realizing how stupid that was, "sorry. It's probably the alcohol. I didn't mean to. I should sleep."
She knew it's not the alcohol, she's been telling him that he's drunk but Kristina know how high his alcohol tolerance is. He's just like her kuya Lucas they rarely get drunk, drunk.
"Yeah. You should." she seconded. "So that when you wake up we can officially work on that us you're talking about."
