Two sides of the coin

I know what this looks like...

I'm the sweet girl-next-door.
I laugh ALL the time
I'm always following the rules.
Always on my best behavior
A fragile young thing
Taking everyone's feelings into consideration.
Nothing about her stands out.
Not edgy
Not dangerous
Not spontaneous
Not exciting.

I know, I know... I've made quite the mess.
A bloody one at that.
You had no idea, did you?
That there's was a enthralling darkness inside her.
That it gripped the shadows of her mind...
You had no idea that she liked the thrill of the cold licks of darkness that touched her when no one was around.
You had no idea she was such a bad girl.
Never suspected that true danger lied around her.

Something reckless about her.
Something unkind
Something dangerous
Something dirty about her mind
Something audacious in her character
Something devilish in the fibres of her being.
A deep and dark menace.

You underestimated her.
You got too comfortable
Took her for granted
Took her for a fool
An in the end

I got the last laugh.
