Escape

I won't lie to you, I hate people.
Almost everyone, you a little less.
Take me somewhere.
Away from here.
Let's get away.
Go away.
Just for a little,
Till we have to return to the lives we left behind.
We're not in love but let's not deny this chemistry.
I'm numb most of the time,
So I'm addicted to the electricity I feel when I'm with you.
You jumpstart my heart,
It almost functions well with you around.
It's a little messed up that I'm using you for your energy,
For the way you make me feel.
But it's not like you're not using me...
We can play lovers while we're away.
I'll give you some love,
An I'll soak up the love you give me.
An I'll enjoy being alive while it lasts.

We need each other, just for now though.
Tomorrow we won't know each other.
But at least we'll have the memories.
You'll choose what you want to do with them.
