"Did you at least get her number?" Moe asked me.

I was in the gym I had made in the basement training for a fight I have coming up in a couple days.

"Yea she gave me her number. She said we can go out soon, but she had a migraine and couldn't at that time." I said still hitting the bag.

"Cool, maybe we can do a double date or some shit. That Bianca chick is fine, and I can't wait to get to know her." Moe said holding the bag I was hitting.

I was trying to concentrate but I couldn't get Ashanti out of my head. She was fucking beautiful. She wasn't like any other chick I have ever been with.

Her bright skin and her deep green eyes and when she smiled her dimples were deep. Even the cute mole on her little nose was sexy. When she licked her sexy red lips, I wanted to kiss them. I don't know what was going on with me, but this girl had me wanting her.

"Yea I'm down with that." I said.

I started back hitting the bag. I was excited about this match. I was undefeated, and I needed to stay that way. Even though I wanted to reach out to Ashanti, I had to concentrate. I won't lie and say it was going to be easy, but I was going to try.

A few hours later:

Walking into the kitchen I was sweating hard. I had been working out non-stop and thought I finally needed a break.

"Hey Marc, eww you stink." My sister Darla said when I walked in.

I went over there and started kissing all over her face.

"Move Marc. Stop." She laughed.

"You know you love it. Anyway, what are you doing over there?" I asked taking a swig of my water.

"Nothing just getting excited about my big brother's boxing match." She said still texting on her phone.

"Yea I bet you are." I said laughing at her.

"Hey Marc. I'm going by the shop for a dress fitting. Kevin is going to drop me off. I don't want anyone to see my dress, not even you." She said.

I was excited about seeing Ashanti again so picking Darla up was going to be the perfect plan.

"OK just make sure you call me when you're ready. I'll pick you up." I said.

"I bet so you can see Ashanti, right?" She had a sly grin on her face.

"Mind your business little one." I said smiling and walking out the kitchen.

I needed a fresh shower and shave. I was going to get Miss Ashanti to go out with me tonight.

I looked at my ringing phone and saw it was Jerry, my promoter.

"Yo!"

"Money is ready, Money is time, we gonna make a lot of money, and you will be just fine." He said.

I laughed. This dude was so extra. He reminded me of a bad 70's movie with all that rhyming.

"So, on this match I could make good money Jerry?" I asked the promoter.

"Big Money Marc. I'm telling you, if you think you are well known now around town, just wait until after this fight. I am going to make sure you make it all the way to the top. Just trust me." He said and hung up.

I was looking forward to this next fight. Maybe this would be the ice breaker to get in good with Ashanti.

Hopefully this will work.
