Im from / I use to care poem

I'm from a place where hate is overpowering love and support

I'm from a place where girls act older then they are because they want attention from a little boy who could give a damn about them and their self esteem

I'm from a place where violence is a sign of being "cool" and being able to fit in with others

I'm from a place where if u didn't have this or didn't do this at a certain age u was consider "a little girl" or "little boy " but what little 14 year old should be smoking weed and having sex or doing all the other things instead of being productive and focusing on their future

I'm from a place where people get there respect by shoving a gun in someone faces instead of just bigger person and walking away if that was the case a lot of young men and women would still be Alive , healthy and shinning bright ((r.i.p to those who have passed because of violence)

I'm from a place where you can't walk out the house and not worry bout of you going to make it home to see your family of not

I use to care to care about what people think about me now I'm just worrying about my self, my education and my future I use to care about what other people say but now I know I'm different nothing like these little girls , saving my innocence until I'm ready not smoking weed because I worry about my health , not dressing like a women when I know I'm just a little girl, I don't care no more about what others think because at the end of the day all I have is me myself and I and I want to leave a mark on this earth to the point where many others would like to follow in my foot steps

I'm putting this ((the poem above))and another one of my stories I have in a competition so I wanted to get all opinion on it
