I scrambled to my feet and dropped my book on the floor. My heart started to race a mile away and if i was able to speak I'd probably be stuttering and making a fool of myself. The mysterious guy from all my classes stood in front of me with a hard expression on his face with a cart of books being pushed by him. I looked away and picked up the book I was reading and pointed to it with a blank and shy look. He looked at it briefly and walked up in front of me.

He grabbed the book and read the title silently to himself and then turned to me. "you're here reading a Stephen King book?" he asked the question like it was a very bizarre thing to do. My eyebrows went up and I nodded my head slowly.

"Don't you have class this period?" He asked confused. I shrug my shoulders and read the time on the clock on the wall. Last period had started 5 minutes ago. I probably was so in tuned to the book that I didn't hear the bell ring.

Regardless of the time, I discovered that I didn't care if I was skipping class at all. The mysterious stranger cleared his throat and I glanced back at him. The silence was awkward, there was so much I wanted to say but didn't find my voice to say anything.

"I have this period free so I help the librarian put the books away" he explained himself. My mouth opened in a "O" shaped and I nodded my head in understanding. That explained the cart of books.

"So what's the deal with you?" He aruptedly asked me. His brown eyes locked with mine and its like we were in a trance. His gaze were so focused it almost felt like he wanted to see my soul.

His question registered in my brain a couple seconds later and I looked at him quizzically. He snapped out of his trance and I'm sure that his cheeks flushed a light shade of pink. But nonetheless he asked again.

"Yeah, like, in class... Uh, you can't speak?" he stuttered with his words as if it was embarrassing to ask me that question. To lighten up the mood I smiled warmly at him and touched my throat shaking my head.

My plan of lightning up the awkwardness seemed to work because right after that we went around putting the books away. He would talk and I would listen. It didn't bother me that he was talking so much about the library or telling me which books were good and which weren't. A lot of them I had already read and if i could speak I'd argue with him.

This time around I did hear the bell ring announcing dismissal time. Luckily we had put all the books back where they belonged. It was tiring since this place was huge. It had a mini elevator but I figured it was just for the librarian because it didn't work without a key.

"Maybe you should become a librarian helper" he suggested. He smiled at me and his eyes twinkled with mischief. I laughed a silent laugh and nudged him giving him a lame shrug of the shoulders. If there was something I discovered about him was that he was a flirt.

He loves to tease and play. It was easy to be around him rather than being with Allison strong personality. She was loud and if we had ever met in the past she and I would of never have been friends.

I was grabbing my bag and almost out if the door when a thought stopped me dead in my tracks. He collided with my back almost sending me to the ground if it wasn't for his strong grip on my elbow.

"Whoa! You can't be doing that! What if I fall on you and then what?" I rolled my eyes at him but he didn't see them since my back was still facing him. I turned around pushing my hair away from my face and pointed a finger at him. He didn't have a name tag and for 35 minutes we've been in the library he never probably introduced himself.

He was carrying a notebook with him so I snatched it from his hands and opened to a fresh page. I used the pen on the desk and wrote in my neat handwriting "What the hell is your name".
