JADA'S POV
"jada! phone off at 11 pm!" my dad yelled from downstairs.
i looked at the clock where it said 10:30pm, rolled my eyes and continued to text my best friend. his name is alex. we've been best friends since 2nd grade. now we're juniors going into senior year, we've come a long way.
he sent me a video on snap that i immediately opened.
alex has always been cute to me, but there's no way i could date him. we've tried that in 7th grade, but we are more comfortable as friends. but i do love him.
i got another text from him asking if i wanted to come over his house tomorrow since his parents will be gone all day. i said yes and got myself ready for bed.
-the next day-
i grabbed my keys and hoped in my car on my way to alex's place. we don't live that far from each other so it's not that bad of a drive.
i pulled up to his house and locked my car. he was already at the door. he opened it and i smiled.
"hey whore." i said "hey slut." he replied back
"what do you have to eat!" i said walking to his kitchen.
"we have ramen, cereal, fruit snacks-"
"ouuuu ramen."
he got the stove ready.
alex was so attractive. he had nice brown curly hair, built, 6ft, green eyes. if our bond wasn't as close as it is i would be liking him. he's amazing. as the water was heating up he came and sat down next to me.
"so what's new?" i said to him like we don't talk 24/7
"hmm well jess and i got into a fight last night."
he said laying on the couch looking at me. i don't mind jess but jess definitely has something against me.
"about what?"
"she doesn't like the fact that we're close friends." he said as if jess was acting ridiculous.
"well what's going to happen?" i asked grabbing the remote and flipping through hulu.
"she'll get over it." he said rolling his eyes. "i don't know why she gets so angry about this stuff."
i agreed with him. even though if my boyfriend was hanging out with his bff 24/7 i'd feel some type of way.
"did i tell you that people from the college want to come watch me play." he said smiling and looking up at me.
"no! omg alex that's so good!" smiling. i feel awkward.
alex plays hockey and he's probably on the highest team i can think of for our school. the boy is pretty good and i've been to everyone of his games since 5th grade.
that was our promise, he'd come to everyone of my cheer competitions and i'd go to his hockey games and he hasn't missed one yet.
alex got up and came back with two bowls of ramen we ate and watched some stand up comedy. once we were done i brought the bowls to the sink and laid down on the floor infront of the couch. he scooted down and laid next to me.
"you know i found out my parents are spending the night at a hotel, you thinking what i'm thinking?"
i looked at him and smiled.
"SOAP TRAMPOLINE SLEEPOVER!" we said simultaneously.
soap trampoline sleepover is something we created in 6th grade. it's where we put dish soap on the trampoline and jump like crazy. then clean it up and by the end of the day we'd be so tired that we'd eventually fall asleep on the trampoline.
i called my mom and told her that i was spending the night at alex's. once she agreed i smiled and shook my head yes at alex. i don't worry about clothes because i keep clothes in his room just for nights like this.
i ran upstairs and got my nike shorts on w one of alex's old t-shirts.
i went back downstairs where alex was already bring dish soap outside. i took my phone out and got ready to take a picture.
"alex say cheese!" i put the phone up and we both smiled.
"send that to me." he said laughing.
i captioned it "SOAP TRAMPOLINE SLEEPOVER" and posted it to my story.
about a minute passed and people were sliding up, mostly my friends. i opened one that said "oml just date already!" i said lmao nah and slid out. all of the chats were just people saying to date. even though he has a girlfriend.
alex and i placed our phones on the kitchen table and brought the soap outside. we dumped the bottles on the trampoline and made sure it reached every corner.
alex reached over his shoulder and took his shirt off.
"ready?" he said smiling, we counted down
"3...2...1!"
we jumped on and i immediately busted my ass. we were jumping and falling everywhere.
about 15 minutes passed by and we were both tired as hell, laid out on the trampoline dying from laughter. this is the most fun i've had in a while.
alex told me to run in and get the blankets we were going to sleep on while he got the hose and towel to clean it off.
i went upstairs to his room to get blankets that he kept in his dresser. i opened it and went through it grabbing all the blankets i could hold. until something gold caught my eye. they fell out of the blankets and they were condoms.
i immediately freaked out and tried to hurry and put them back before he came upstairs. it was weird seeing those because i have never seen alex in a sexual way.
i hurried and brought the blankets down stairs and sat them on the couch.
"alex i'm gonna be upstairs changing okay!"
he replied and i went back to his room to change out of these soapy clothes. i put on some sweatpants and one of my hoodies and went back downstairs.
alex changed into almost the same and we got ready to make our beds. sleeping next to each other has never been weird given the fact we've been doing it for 9 years.
alex has a projector in his backyard so we could watch movies on it.
i laid down since it was getting dark and alex came back with our phones. he tossed me mine and i opened all the snaps shipping me and alex.
"oh fuck." alex said showing me his phone.
