JADAS POV
alex showed me his phone and it was a snap from jess. she had sent him my story and said "wtf."
he texted her saying she needs to relax, but she just sent paragrah after paragrah on how she didn't like me around alex. i felt guilty but he's my best friend.
alex was furiously typing, hit send and just turned his phone off.
"god dammit." alex said putting his hands on his face. "shes acting like we're fucking!" i laughed nervously and sat up.
"alex are you truly happy with her?" i asked. he thought and took a while to answer. "i don't even know at this point." he said disappointed.
"it's like she only cares when i'm with you, she only checks on me when i'm with you. that's the only time she's concerned."
"well maybe it's time to let her go." i said looking at him. "or let me go?" i mentioned at the end
i would hate to be the reason their relationship ends. "but that's the thing i don't want to loose either of you." he said sitting up as well. he shook his head trying to get rid of the thought, "let's just focus on something else. truth or dare?" he said smiling.
i nodded my head yes and we started to play. we were about 10 min tired into the game until it was alex's turn to ask me a question.
"truth or dare?"
"mmmm truth!" i said not wanting to do another ridiculous dare.
"ouuu truth, let's see."
alex thought for a second until his face lit up. he shook his head no. "never mind that question's too weird!" he laughed.
curious i insisted he'd ask. "no i cant." he said smiling "oh come on just ask me it can't be that bad."
he shook his head no laughing again i hit him slightly. "cmon! just tell m-"
"who'd you loose your virginity to." he cut me off. i started to giggle.
"you see i haven't lost mine yet, for i am i child of god." i said putting my hands in a praying motion.
"oh please!" he said thinking i was lying but i wasn't. i was truly a virgin. i looked at him with a serious face.
"oh shit you're not joking, damn couldn't be me." he said laying back down. "well what about you mr. pornstar, who'd you fuck!" i said hitting him with a pillow.
"woahh it was one girl, and only once." he said laughing. "who was it?" i asked
"jess." he slowly stopped laughing i felt bad for bringing her up again.
i slowly laid back down. "i'm sorry." i said. "don't be." he got up and out the trampoline. "where you going." i sat up and moved my hair out my face. "bathroom."
i laid back down and scrolled through my phone.
- the next day -
i was on my computer scrolling through youtube. until my phone dinged. it was from alex.

my mom said yeah hurry over
i continued to scroll through youtube for a couple of minutes until i heard my doorbell ring. i walked downstairs and opened the door to see alex standing there. i immediately knew something was wrong from his facial expression.
"alex what's wrong?" i said furrowing my eyebrows. he didn't say anything but shake his head. "mom me and alex are gonna be in the basement." i grabbed his arm and rushed him to the basement so no one would see him this upset. i sat him down.
"alex what's going on?" i said trying to comfort him. he sadly smirked and let out a huff "jess broke up with me." he said with sadness in his voice. i looked at him he was devastated. "i'm so sorry." i reached over and hugged him at first he didn't budge but then he wrapped his arms around me and hugged me tight.
this hug was different though. both his arms were strongly wrapped around my waist. he smelled like cologne and his curly brown hair was soft against my face. this was weird to me but i didn't mind it. after about a minute he removed himself from the hug wiping his eyes. his face was flushed from crying.
"did she say why?" i said as he slumped down further into the couch. he shrugged "she just said she's over it." he let out a shaky breath and reached for me again. i moved closer to him giving him another hug.
