Above is basically what I based her course off of, some differences, and the horse isn't black lol. Update: so it wouldn't show, so here's the link. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=cgXm9eR0lb0
Callie sighed, "Alright, let's head to the barn." I was all dressed, except for my hair, which I'd do at the show. Now time for Jet.
We headed towards the barn, chatting along the way. "Do you like the intermediate team?"
She nodded, "Alex is really nice." I chuckled, watching as she skipped along.
"I meant the whole team." She stopped
"Erroreree Umm, it's great!" I laughed, and we both continued laughing and walking.
"Wait up!" I turned to see a brown-haired, 6'1 male running towards us, dressed in show clothes. I laughed, waiting for Jack to catch up to us.
Callie waved, and he fell into step with us.
"What are you gonna do, Jack? Cross country or dressage?" I asked, I already had my answer.
"Cross country, you?"
"Same." We high fived.
"Where's Smokey?" He asked, indicating to the spot on my shoulder he usually perched on.
"Relax, I never take him to riding. Someone who knows about ferrets watches him." I laughed, "You never noticed?"
He shrugged sheepishly, and Callie said, "I can't believe you guys get to show! Not fair." She pretended to pout.
"Aww, relax Cal, you'll probably get to. Anyway, how's class going?" I asked.
"Mostly A's for me." I nodded, agreeing.
"Mostly b's, some A's." Callie shrugged and I nodded.
We arrived at the fancy barn, and we all hustled to our horses stalls. I asked Callie to braid his tail, while I worked on his mane. My fingers worked quickly, and I finally finished. I leaned down, asking him to pick up his foot. I swiped the hoof pick through it, repeating for each hoof. Callie had finished and was brushing him, dapples shining. I slipped on his leather halter, his name on a plate on the side. I clipped on a lead rope, walking him out. I handed him to a groom, who loaded him.
"Guesss what?" Callie said with a smile, "Drew said I could come and watch!" I grinned, nodding.

We arrived at the show, and I took Jet out of the trailer, putting him away in his stall. Grooms hustled about, and I pulled my hair into my hairnet, then clipped on my helmet. Grooms had already tacked up Amber and Jet, to my suprise, so we both took the reins over their heads and mounted. Callie stood in the center of the warmup arena with Drew, ready to help.
"Take them around at the trot, each way a few times. Once you've done that, you may canter." I nodded, picking up the trot.
I posted, practicing anything we needed to work on. After trotting around, I walked him, seeing Jack do the same.
"Canter." I murmured, aiding him on. He cantered forward, and after twice around I switched directions, cantering the other way.
Drew asked us to walk, "Jack, you first. Pop him over this." He pointed at the three foot fence in the middle. Jack nodded, and Amber picked up the canter. They lined up with the fence. I.. 2.. I counted in my head, and I could see Jack had a spot. There! They were up and over.
I picked up the canter, turning to the jump. I counted, ready. I leaned forward as Jet took off, and we landed easily on the other side. "Good boy!"
"Next would be Luna Bristol on Soarin High." I walked out towards the arena, the course etched in my head. I picked up the trot, then cantered a hunter's circle. We lined up with the first jump, a 3'6 hogsback. I let out a breath, and I found the spot. We flew over it, and I turned for a rollback to a combination. We flew over that, and I murmured, "Good boy," under my breath. He leapt over the next jump, a 3'9 vertical. I let out a sigh, sitting up immediately after the jump. We cleared a few more jumps, and then it was the last jump. A 4 foot oxar loomed ahead, And I could feel Jet slow down, nope, I wouldn't let him stop. I pushed him on, and he picked up the pace. His front hooves left the ground, and I leaned up. We landed on the other side, exiting the arena. I gave him large, slappy pats. A groom took him back, despite my protests, and I watched Jack's round before heading back to his stall.
A/n: Hope you enjoyed! I have an exciting chapter planned ;) Also, I need a cover made for this book! 1st place cover gets a character in the intermediate team, that gets to like anyone except Luna or Jack! You also choose your horse's name. 2nd place gets a character in the intermediate who doesn't like anyone. Send me them! Once I get enough, I'll decide!
