Chapter 20: Gods and Goddesses

"Ektarva was furious. Even after all that she did, all that she created and planned, in the end it was all futile. Tricking Theall to breathe life upon the creations they all made was one thing, but willingly giving them a soul was another. This 'Man' and 'Woman' was truly far more superior if they had that, no matter how powerful the creatures they made are."

"But what made her most furious of all was the fact that, these creatures had a soul. She did not. Which meant that those creatures were above her. Jealousy, hatred, and malice grew in her heart as she stormed away from them with her hands clenched tightly at her sides. She hated these putrid, pathetic, weak things that they created."

"She fumed as to what made them so special, when all those wretched things ever did was make her fellow celestials throw ideas at each other until it puked the creations that even Theall cherished more than his first creations."

Naera carefully turned the pages until it reached page 26, where the book described the Ektarva's rage.

"After weeks of attempting to trick Theall to practically begging him in giving her creations a soul, Ektarva had reached her highest point of rage and frustration. She looked at all the powerful creatures she created and with a wrath filled scream, she threw them into the world of 'Stelera'."

" 'Man' and 'Woman' were yet to be placed into the world of 'Stelera', and after throwing her creations in, she also took all of the creations made by her fellow celestials, and threw them into the world with the purest of rage before 'Man' and 'Woman' could be placed in it."

"All the other gods and goddesses have felt that their creations have now been placed into this new world before 'Man' and 'Woman'. They expected that Theall would be angry at Ektarva and destroy all the creations that were placed first. All of them begged for each of their creations to be spared."

"Ektarva smiled cruelly as she knew this to happen. She knew that if she had placed all the other creatures of her fellow gods and goddesses alongside hers, they would all not want their creations to be destroyed and if Theall had destroyed only hers, she would claim that it was unfair treatment. As she knew that Theall was fair and just, he would never allow such a thing to happen."

"But, once again, he did the unexpected."

" 'Do not fret nor worry, my children. I will allow this to happen. I had wanted to place 'Man' and 'Woman' first as physically and magically speaking, all the other wonderful creatures you've all created are far more powerful. So, I had wanted them to live in and prosper first for a few hundred years before including your creations.' "

" 'But, now they were placed there first, I will have to make a few adjustments. Firstly, I will surround the land and sea with plentiful amounts of magic that can be used to defend ones self if need be. And because all your creations are already powerful, only 'Man' and 'Woman' can tap into this magic that I will place into this world.'"

Ektarva was furious. She screamed and shouted at Theall and all the other gods and goddesses with all her rage and hatred. Theall and the rest attempted to calm her down, but their attempts were futile.

"'HOW DARE YOU TRY TO DO THIS TO ME!? YOU THINK I WOULDN'T KNOW OR NOTICE HOW YOU LOOK DOWN UPON ME!? THESE WRETCHED CREATURES YOU MADE WERE TO MAKE FUN OF ME WASN'T IT!? YOU KNOW THAT THESE THINGS ARE NOW OFFICIALLY ABOVE ME, DON'T YOU!?'"

"'My child, please calm. That is not my intention. I have special plans for these creatures yes, but I have wonderful plans for you as well. I know it seems unfair that I gave them a soul while you have to wait for yours, but you'll see that's it's-'"

"'ENOUGH!'"

And all the gods and goddesses gasped in shock as Ektarva shot a black lightning bolt directly at Theall. But, the goddess Luminosa was quick to her feet and thrust herself in between before the bolt could hit Theall. It hit her right in the shoulder and she slid to the ground, breathing heavily whilst clutching her arm with her brows furrowed in pain, her arm bleeding gold profusely.

Ektarva smiled cruelly. Her lightning bolts were special and not only were they like being hit with a sword, but they all corrupt and decay whatever they hit. It was worse then being hit with a poisoned sword.

Black, ink like decay was starting to spread from Luminosa as she was starting to cough blood as well. She was already close to death after a mere 2 minutes of being hit with her lightning bolt. Theall quickly rushed to her and touched her shoulder. The corruption started to heal but it was slow.

It would take Luminosa two centuries for her wound to heal, and in that time she would go through unbearable pain because even though her wound was being healed, the part that wasn't healed yet would continue to rot and decay.

Naera flipped to the next page as she read avidly.

And so, Ektarva was banished from Galaktaeum as she had attempted to murder Theall and almost succeeded in murdering her fellow goddess. Her closest sister, Luminosa.

After her banishment, the gods and goddesses wondered if he would destroy Ektarvas creations.

"'I will not. Even though the creatures she made are more susceptible to choosing a dark path as she had made them to be dark creatures, that does not mean that their will to choose good was taken from them completely. And I believe that even if there is only a small chance that these creatures would choose good, it is still worth taking into account that they can do good.'"

(Hey everyone! Sorry that it's been FOREVER since I updated. I've been dealing with not only life at the moment but also the dreaded writer's block. -_- but anyways! I am back! And I will not leave my wonderful readers any longer!

So, yeah. This whole creation concept of the Stelera was something that was several chapters long because as I said, I want this to be really slow burn and concentrate on world building and stuff because I think that its pretty important to tell HOW is there magic in this world and magic creatures and how do people believe they came to be as well as their religion, etc.

Because I've read A LOT of stories here in Wattpad and most of them were BAM! No explanation just...they're there and we gonna concentrate on the love story. Which is not my game, ya know? Anyways, that basically why I wanted to bore all of you which several chapters of this worlds creation story. Well, that and because ya'll need to know how magic works and how it came to be.

Because as you know, magic in this world is aaaaallll around them and anyone can tap into it easily and different locations have different amounts of magic in the air. Like, if in China theres a 68 percent magic that someone can tap into and in America its 88.4 or something so theres an abundance of magic in America than in China and stuff. Ok, I'll just explain it a bit more in late chapters.

Oh! And also, the gods and goddesses that the people believe in Stelera are inspired by Greek Mythology and whatnot. Well, it's quite obvious ain't it? Hehe. Well, that's all for now. See ya guys very soon!)
