Chapter Five
"Oh my God, what a creep,'' Deb says after I finish telling her the story. I told her how I was molested by some guy named Enzo and how Ezra had effortlessly saved me from him. "Good thing Ezra was there,''
I nod and I pick at my nails. "Yeah. Despite his moody outburst, he was pretty heroic.''
Deb laughs and then the door opens and Tessa walks in. She glares at me and then storms into her room without a word. I look at Deb and Deb just shrugs and I shake my head. Whatever.
I grab my things, "I better get back to my own dorm, it's getting pretty late.''
Deb nods and offers me a week smile, "Be safe, okay?''
I nod and I leave her dorm and I make my way down the hallway, looking over my shoulders just a few times. What happened with Enzo the other day really shook me and I've got to be more careful nowadays.
When I open the door to the dorm room and walked into the living room I gasp. My eyes widen as I find pot in Ziploc bags lying on the coffee table.
Ezra comes in from the kitchen and he sits down on the couch like he didn't just see bags of pot lying on the coffee table.
"What the hell, Ezra?!''
Colin walks into the living room too and I shake my head. I can't believe there are actually drugs in my living room right now.
"Please get this out of here!'' I shriek.
Ezra rolls his eyes, "it's just pot, chillax.''
"Just pot! You're telling me that I should just relax when I find my roommate stuffing drugs into a Ziploc bag? Oh yeah, I'm relaxed alright?''
Colin snickers as if I had said something funny. I glare at him and he stops, "don't tell anyone, Morgan. Just chill, nothing bad is going to happen.''
Before I could respond I hear someone pounding on the door and my heart almost leaps out of my chest. I knew it! I fucking knew it! I'm going to end up in jail because of this shit! It hasn't even been a month yet and I'm already going to get arrested. What are my parents going to think?
Colin went to answer the door and I saw a giggling Liana walking into the living room. She sat down right in Colin's spot. "That was fun as hell. We should do that again,''
"No, we shouldn't,'' I say and before I knew it, Ezra grabbed me by the arm and dragged me towards his room.
"Look, Morgan, I know you're a goody-two-shoes and you're freaked out by this but can you just relax? You can't tell anyone about what is going on here.''
I blinked at him and then I sigh, "I'm not okay with you bringing drugs into the dorm.''
He nods as if he understood and gave me a gentle smile. "I know, but this is kind of what I do and I'd appreciate it if you didn't rat us out.''
"You're telling me you're a drug dealer?''
"It's complicated, but yes.''
I shake my head, "that's fucked up, Ezra.''
He smiles and runs his hand through his long dark hair. "I'm just asking you to not say anything, okay?''
I nod, "fine, I won't say anything about you bringing drugs in here like a moron.'' I roll my eyes but then I added, "I promise.''
He smiles and nods, finally relaxing. He then touches my arm and it sends electricity coursing through my veins.
"I didn't hurt you, did I?'' His eyebrows are knit together and he looks genuinely concerned.
I shake my head, "I'm fine. And hey, thanks for saving my ass at the frat party. If you hadn't intervened I . . .'' I gulp, not wanting to continue or think about what would've happened.
Ezra nods, "yeah. Well, Enzo is an asshole. Don't forget what I said, stay away from him and his friends.''
I nod and then he walks out and I lean against the wall and sighed.
