chapter 9 : tease him

it was friday afternoon and the school bell just rang to notify everyone that it was time to go home. haechan grabbed his bag and stood up along with jaemin and renjun.

"do we have homework?" haechan asked the two.

renjun looked at the ceiling, reciting all the subject they had, "uhm, math, science.."

"for the first time in forever~ we don't have homework," renjun sang.

jaemin applaud for his boyfriend's singing as he smiled and put his arm over renjun's shoulders. as soon as the three walked past the door frame, they saw a familiar figure that gave them a fright after jumping out of nowhere. it seemed as if he waited for someone.

"hey," mark greeted, both hands on his pockets.

"dont forget to text us the details," renjun elbowed donghyuck and gave the younger a cheeky smirk before he left with jaemin, leaving haechan with mark.

"bye, lovebirds," said jaemin with a teasing tone, waving his hands goodbye.

mark smiled, seeing jaemin's back gradually fading in the distance. he drifted his attention to donghyuck who was beside him who looked at him back with his eyebrows raised as if he had something to say.

"what?" the older asked.

"why are you here?" haechan tilted his head.

"you don't want me here? after our last subject ended, i immediately rushed here and waited for you" mark pouted and proceeded to walk only to be stopped by haechan.

"i-i didn't say that.." the younger looked away, his hands still on mark's wrist, "it's just, you don't usually do this"

"ew, it's as if you're courting me"

haechan faced mark and scrunched his face in 'disgust'. mark chuckled and pinched haechan's nose

"what if I am?" mark said, avoiding haechan's eyes. his hand intertwined with donghyuck and they quietly walked towards their dorm. just letting their feelings run wildly in the pits of their stomach. their hearts went boom every beat, as if it's about to explode any minute. silence filled the air giving a peaceful environment for the two to walk in.

as soon as haechan got back home, he took of his clothes. when he was half naked with only his underwear, he started zoning out, staring at the wall like he usually does. he was snapped out from his daydreaming when he heard a knock on his door. he unwillingly put on an oversized grey shirt and stomped out of his room.
