Serpent Princess

-Part Ten-

"Wow Jones, props to you. It's very Lovecraftian. Which I'm sure was your intention" Toni states, looking through Jugheads papers, I smile, glad he's finally showing off his work to people other than me. "But I gotta ask you. Did you write this on a typewriter?" I giggle at Toni's question. All summer break I've been trying to pry the machine from him.

"Uh, yeah. I wanted to get into the Lovecraft's headspace" He smiles and I gently shake my head.

"Mhmmm and it has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that Betty bought you the beautiful vintage typewriter for christmas" I tilt my head in a fake questioning mannor.

"No comment." Toni bursts into laughter and Jug just shakes his head at the two of us. I jump as the school doors are kicked open, relaxing when I notice Pea, he lets our a 'whooo' before he lockes eyes with me and gives me a wink to which I instantly blush. Him and Fangs seem overly excited today. I pick up my backpack and mae my way over to Pea, his hand falling onto my waist almost out of habbit.

"What going on?" I question, looking up to him, his lips place a gentle kiss to my pouted lips.

"This hellhole is offically closed. No more southside high." He answers my question, looking over to Toni and Jug.

"What? How?" Toni questions.

"They say its dangerous and it needs to be quarentined. We're all going to different schools" I panic, grabbing onto his shirt.

"Where are you going?" I rush out, my grip getting tighter and tighter with the fear of seperation growing.

"Same as you, and jug and Toni and Fangs" I let out a breath I didn't realise I was holding in and my grip loosened considerably, my arms instead wrapping around his waist, inhaling his scent. "We're going to Riverdale High" I smile widely, we're going back to riverdale high! I internaly squeal with excitement, but looking at Jug his face is just filled with a look of concern and worry, possibly about seeing Betty again. "Think of all those Northside heads to knock" He pretends to fight Fangs for a second before his hand circle back around me.

"Behave" I whisper so that only Pea can hear me, he once again kisses my pouty lips before picking me up and throwing me over his shoulder. I let out a squeal, clinging onto the fabric of his leather jacket. I giggle as I shout my goodbye to Jughead and Toni, seeing them waving upside down.

I let out a small chuckle as Pea lifts me up from the motorcycle and places my feet onto the dirt. A few motorcycles also parked nearby. He grabs my hand and leads me furthur into the woods, finally stopping at a quarry. I shake my head gently at the sight of a few of the younger serpents drinking beer around a fire, others swimming in the water.

"You do realise I dont have my swim suit, right?" I question and he shrugs.

"Neither do I" he smirks as he unbuckles his belt and pulls of his t-shirt and jeans. I blush slightly. "You can wear my t-shirt if you want" I smile at his offer, pulling off my skirt and t-shirt before slipping Pea's on, the fabric falling to my mid thigh making me feel a lot more comfortable around the others. Pea walks into the water until it reaches his chest, he gives me a questioning look as I walk to one of the higher surfaces. I give him a mischivious smirk before doing a run up and jumping into the water. I giggle as I come up for breath and I'm immedietly pulled into Sweetpea's arms, my legs wrapping around his waist and my arms around my neck as he walks further in with me wrapped around his body. I run my hands through his hair, eventually pulling his face close enough to mine to lock our lips together in a heated kiss. I hear a low whistle.

"Get a room!" I hear Fangs yell and I pull away, a blush coating my cheeks  as Sweets give him the middle finger. I push the water, causing a splash to cover Fangs. His face drops, his clothes now dripping as I turn into a bundle of laughter. It only takes a second before a full water fight has errupted between everyone at the quarry.
