Chapter 19: Whose the REAL Monster?

Meanwhile Steve was running through the mansion, slaying any mob he came across while shouting Sirenia's name as loudly as possible. Edgar came into the room Sirenia was in, tears filled Sirenia's eyes as she glanced at him. "Wh-Where's H-Herobrine?" Edgar solemnly hangs his head down. "I'm very ssssssorry misssssssss Sssssssirenia. . ." Sirenia got up from where she was sitting and ran towards Edgar, hugging him while sobbing. Edgar tried his best to comfort her. "Pleassssssssse don't cry misssssssssss."

Soon Steve swung open the door to the room Sirenia was in. She was hugging a Creeper, crying. He shouted at Sirenia. "GET BACK FROM THAT MONSTER!!" Steve drew out his enchanted bow and arrow, getting ready to fire an arrow and kill the Creeper when Sirenia got in the way of his shot. "WHAT THE NETHER ARE YOU DOING SIRENIA?!!" Sirenia shouted at Steve. "HE'S GOOD STEVE!! EDGAR IS GOOD!!" Steve lowered the bow. "Wait, Edgar?! YOU NAMED HIM?!!" Sirenia nodded her head. "H-HE'S MY FRIEND! I WON'T LET YOU KILL HIM!" Edgar slowly approached Steve and Sirenia, stopping dead in his tracks when Steve pointed his bow and arrow at him. "Don't come any closer!"

Sirenia glared at Steve. "STOP IT! EDGAR WOULDN'T HURT A FLY!! IF HE WANTED TO KILL US HE WOULD HAVE BLOWN HIMSELF UP ALREADY BUT HE HASN'T!! D-Don't judge a book by its cover." Steve calmed down a little bit, the adrenaline from fighting Herobrine (and nearly dying) started wearing off. He sheathed his weapons and hugged Sirenia tightly, not wanting to let go of her. "You're safe now Sirenia! Me and Alex came here to rescue you from Herobrine! He didn't hurt you did he?!" Sirenia shook her head no, not wanting to admit the truth to Steve. 

Steve let out a long loud sigh of relief. Hugging Sirenia even tighter, but she did not hug him back. Edgar approached Steve and Sirenia reminding them that he was still there by clearing his throat. Steve separates from the hug with Sirenia and glares at Edgar with disgust. "What do you want?!" "Sssssssir I wish to return home with you and missssssssss Ssssssirenia." Steve jumped back, falling onto the floor his eyes wide in shock. He pointed to Edgar. "Y-YOU CAN TALK?!!!" Edgar nods his head yes. "H-HOW?!!" Edgar shrugs his little legs not wanting to talk anymore in case he angered 'Steve'. 

Sirenia helps Steve up as much as she can as all the armor he is wearing makes him extremely heavy. A pair of footsteps approach, Steve turns and see's Alex dragging along a shackled Herobrine. She smiles at Steve and Sirenia. "Glad to see you're alive and well Sirenia. Steve here was beside himself with worry." Steve blushes a bit and glares at Alex before introducing her to Edgar. "Alex, this is Edgar the Creeper." Edgar bows to Alex. "How do you do misssssssss?" Alex raised an eyebrow, looking at Steve. "Nice ventriloquism Steve." Steve shakes his head. "I didn't do anything, he can actually talk." "Uhuh, right. Enough fooling around lets get this guy--" She gestures behind her with her thumb at Herobrine "to Notch's palace and then go home." 

Steve sighs but nods his head. Neither of them notice Sirenia approaching Herobrine. Herobrine snarls at her, baring his teeth. "My mortal form was WEAK!! WEAK!! HE WAS DEFEATED BECAUSE OF HIS AFFECTION FOR YOU!!!" Herobrine shouting snaps Steve and Alex out of their conversation, but they did not notice what he said. They look at Sirenia  and Steve goes over to pull her away from Herobrine but she shoves Steve away, glaring at him with tears in her eyes saying nothing. Steve was confused and angry. "WHAT THE NETHER IS WRONG WITH YOU SIRENIA?!! DO YOU ACTUALLY LIKE THIS MONSTER?!! HE KIDNAPPED YOU AND I BET HE HURT YOU!! I ALSO BET HE'S CONTROLLING YOU WITH HIS MIND!!" Sirenia shakes her head no, anger bubbling inside of her. "HE NEEDS TO BE DESTROYED!! HE'S A MISTAKE!! A GLITCH!! A---!!" 

Steve is cut off when Sirenia slaps him as hard as she can across the face. "HE'S NONE OF THOSE!!" Steve and Alex stare at Sirenia in shock, with Steve placing a hand over where she slapped him. "Sirenia. . ." Steve was hurt by this but Sirenia continued. "Y-You say Herobrine is a monster. . .You say Edgar is a monster, WHEN THEY WERE HERE BEFORE YOU!! You slay mobs like Edgar for their loot, you murder without thinking, all for what?! EXPERIENCE?! FOOD?!! Y-You are hypocrites. . .IF ANYONE IS A MONSTER IT'S YOU!!" Steve blinks a couple of times, surprised by Sirenia's words and actions. Alex walks over to Steve, placing a hand on his shoulder. "Steve, I think we both need to take them to Notch's palace. She's clearly under his spell." Steve nods his head in agreement. Sirenia cries and glares at Steve. "D-Don't chain me like you did him. I-I'll go willingly but Edgar is coming with." Edgar sighs. "Misssssssss Sssssssssirenia I do not think it issssssssssss ssssssafe for me to leave the manssssssssssion. I will sssssssssstay here and wait for you and massssssster Herobrine to return." Sirenia nods her head at Edgar, then they all leave the mansion. The thunder of the storm grew distant as it moved on. Steve felt really bad about doing this, and Sirenia's words kept replaying in his head 'IF ANYONE IS A MONSTER IT'S YOU!' 'Maybe she's right.' Steve thinks to himself as they begin the long trek to Notch's Palace.
