(We open on a wide shot of a field in a galaxy far away; however, it's not like the other planets we've seen in past Guardians movies: it's a barren wasteland, as if from a western movie.
A speeder bike zooms past the camera, blowing dust everywhere.Eventually, the speeder bike drives towards a small, broken-down town. The driver parks the bike by what looks like a saloon; he takes off his helmet and reveals a handsome young man named Aldo in his mid-20s who seems to have a mission. We see the name of the building above him: Topanga's.
He slowly walks inside the saloon and sits down at the bar. It's unusually busy for a broken down bar.He gestures for 2 drinks towards the bartender and puts down 3,500 units, 2,000 more units than what he needed to pay for the drinks, on the bar.)
BARTENDER: "Pretty generous tip, no?"
ALDO: "It wasn't for the drinks, it's for when you introduce me to the owner of, what's it called again? Topanga's..."
BARTENDER: (hands Aldo his drinks) "How about you first tell me your name?"
ALDO: "The name's Aldo, I'm just trying to find the owner of the bar."
BARTENDER: "You might as well take your money back then cause he don't wanna talk to nobody."
ALDO: "How many people come asking the same thing I just did?"
BARTENDER: "A couple...hundred a week. They like to come in, throw as much money at me as they can, and see if it gets them there...but no."
(The bartender pushes the extra units towards Aldo, gesturing for him to take it back.)
ALDO: "Ah, you can keep it." (He gulps down one of the drinks)
BARTENDER: (takes one of the glasses) "I guess you won't be needing this then?"
ALDO: "Woah woah woah! Those two were for me. Trust me, I'm gonna need it."
(Aldo takes the second drink and gulps it as well. He winces and sighs as he wipes his mouth with a cloth from his pocket.)
ALDO: "I appreciate the drink there, buddy."
BARTENDER: "No problem, take it easy, alright?"
(The Bartender walks away as Aldo looks on at the crowd in the bar, which is bizarrely varied in terms of the type of people there: there are grimey, rugged-looking smugglers sitting at tables next to high class politicians simply stopping by for a drink. We see that this saloon is bigger than we initially thought, complete with a jukebox and a pretty big dance floor in the back.
