It's been 6 years since Eren was born and Clara's been keeping her promise; she protected him as best as she could but Clara noticed Eren seemed to already have some of the side effects from when she was pregnant with him and they continued to experiment on her.
One thing Clara noticed was Eren picked up on things far faster than he should, example; he seemed to skip crawling and started to walk at just 5 months. He was talking pretty early as well.
Clara also noticed how even when Eren would get hurt and the wound would heal pretty fast, and he doesn't have one scar on his body.
He was stronger and faster than normal humans as well, the only reason Eren hasn't escaped yet is because of his mother, no matter how many times Clara begged her son to run away he wouldn't leave her. He was strong and fast but not enough to get him and his mother free.
Clara jumped when she felt a warm hand being placed on her cheek and looked down at the small human in her lap " Oh what's wrong baby?" Clara asked her son, Eren's always been warm but his skin was so pale
" you were lost in thought again" Eren replied, red eyes staring into Clara's honey gold ones
Clara smiled and noticed some blood on Eren " what happened?" Clara asked worriedly
" one of the bad men took some of my blood a few hours ago " Eren shrugged and cuddled into into his mother's chest " something about a cure for something"
Clara sighed and hugged her son close; burying her face into his long black hair " Oh my poor baby"
Eren sighed " it's not a big deal mom but at least today they didn't take me for practice"
Clara tensed and clenched her teeth; ever since Eren could walk they have been training him to become a killing machine, he's already numb to pain but luckily not the thought of killing someone yet
Eren automatically noticed his mother's actions and snuggled closer " it's alright mother, we'll escape one day, I promise "
Clara sighed and relaxed" yeah we will " Eren was the only thing that gave Clara hope and comfort
Eren's red eyes started to look around " do you hear that?" Clara figured out when Eren was about 3 he had superior senses than normal people
Clara tensed again" what is it Eren?"
Eren's frowned" it's screaming but from alot of different people " Eren sniffed the air" and there's a lot of blood and something rotting"
Clara frowned " that's going on out there?"
Eren's head snapped to their cell door and it opened, Clara gasped when a bloody scientist slowly walked into the room.
He looked at them and pointed to Eren " cure, the cure" he started to slowly approach the two and Eren saw what looked like bite marks on the man
Clara automatically stood up and grabbed her son and started to run to the door
" mom!! wait!!" Eren noticed something wasn't right and tried to call out to his mother but they were already out the door and a group of people jumped then and started to bite or you can say eat Clara
" RUN EREN RUN" Clara screamed in pain
" no mama" Eren began pushing the infected off his mother
" p-please Eren" Clara spat out blood and looked at her struggling son with teary eyes " run, live, for me"
Eren began to cry " n-no"
" please Eren, I love you so go" Clara said before she died
" Mama, I love you too " Eren cried before running while dodging infected people
Eren heard a feminine scream and started to run up a stair case, continuing to dodge anyone who tried to touch him. Eren looked ahead of him to see a girl with black hair, pale skin, black eyes, and a dirty white dress on. Get bite by a infected person by luckily she killed it with a knife before it ripped her skin off
Eren automatically grabbed her and dragged her into a room " help me block this door"
The girl nodded and they blocked the door with any furniture they saw, after they were done, they checked the room to see nothing but blood so they sat down and relaxed well until the girl started to violently spaz out.
Eren started to think of a way to help her when he remembered what the scientist had said " the cure, am I the cure?" Eren questioned but decided to just to a chance, if he dies he'll at least be with his mother again
Eren put the girls head in his lap and opened her mouth and bite his hand and allowed the blood to flow into her mouth.
After a minute she stopped moving and Eren started to think it didn't work and she died but she opened her eyes again and sat up
" how did you? I saw others get bite and die" the girl said
Eren shrugged " a bad man said I was the cure so I decided to take a chance and try and save you " Eren looked down" but I couldn't save my mom though"
The girl sighed and gave Eren a sad smile " I know how you feel, before I got here I used to have a family but they were killed" the girl took Eren's hand " so let's stick together for now on, okay?"
Eren smiled and nodded " sure, you and me, against the world "
The girl smiled " I'm Mikasa, you?"
" Eren, and I need a weapon " Eren said as he stood up and started to look around but only found a scalpel
" this will have to do" Eren sighed and looked back at Mikasa who was holding her knife with a determined look on her face
The kids turned to the door, the infected was banging and pushing on it and it was going to give out soon
" you ready?" Eren asked preparing himself to fight
" yeah" Mikasa replied also getting in position as well
The infected busted through the door and Eren and Mikasa started to run towards the infected, ready to kill
