Eren looked out the window to see a huge wall; it was about twenty to twenty five meters high. It had two small gates in the center which were had out of metal or iron, Eren wasn't sure.
' that must be it' Eren thought sitting back down, Mikasa leaned her head on his shoulder but didn't let her guard down, glaring at the men in the car incase they tried anything. Marco would glance back at them; seeing Mikasa's scary glares or Eren's bored face. The ravanette would blush whenever he saw Eren but made sure to keep his eyes on the road; not wanting to hit any undead and accidentally crash the car.
They pulled up to the gate and made a weird sigh with their hands before they pulled the gates open and the car quickly drove in. Eren from the side of his eye saw undead clawing at the walls but thankfully no titans.
They parked next to a bunch of other vehicles and got out. Eren and Mikasa looked around in awe, their was light! Christmas lights were everywhere, old, cracked building stood tall covered in the cheerful lights. Their were people, and not the crazy kind but the nice kind that were walking around while laughing like they didn't have a care in the world. Their was food you could trade for different things and children playing around! There was even some animals!
" Wow" Eren said looking around, blood red eyes sparkling with amazement and curiosity
Mikasa stared at her brother with a fond smile; it's been so long since she's seen Eren this happy and amazed.
" It's amazing right?" Armin asked with a big smile while blushing, Eren's smile was beautiful.
Eren smile brightly at Armin " Yeah! I haven't seen this much light since I was a kid!"
" we also have running water, and as you see electricity, along with clean drinking water " Jean said proudly with a smirk
" Wow" Eren once again said, he again hasn't had running water for years!
" Now now, I'm sure our guests are tired. We should bring them to the hotel." Marco suggested
" hotel?" Eren asked
Marco pointed to a cracked building with a barely working sign " Yeah it's right there. It's where a good amount of us sleep "
With a nod Eren followed the freckled man with Mikasa following close behind to the building but continued to look around in curiosity and making sure they had a escape route if needed.
Walking into the building they were greeted by a brown haired girl " Hello my name's Eve! And the price to stay for the night is any type of bullets " the woman said holding out her hand
" no no they saved my life, they're free " Armin quickly said
" but" the girl started
" they are free!" Jean huffed" we're scouts so if we say their free their free"
" don't be so rude!" Marco scolded but Jean only rolled his eyes with a grin
The girl nodded with a sigh before smiling again and giving Mikasa two keys. Mikasa stared at the keys before throwing one back
" here, we only need one" Mikasa said
" o-okay " she responded putting one back
Armin looked confused while Marco and Jean looked flustered " Why do you two sleep in the same room?" Armin asked innocently
" that way we always have each other's backs " Eren grinned while Armin blushed and Marco and Jean sighed in relief
" let me see" Jean said holding his hand out for the key but Mikasa just glared
Jean sighed " what does the number say?"
Mikasa looked at the key " 57"
Armin nodded " we'll show you were that room is "
Mikasa huffed " we only want Armin to show us " she still didn't trust Jean or Marco they were still a threat but she could easily beat them but Armin would be much easier to deal with though so she choose him
Eren sighed " thank you boys but it would be better this way " Eren said with a awkward smile, he knew they were still a threat but they haven't tried anything so he was a little more more trusting
The two males blush and looked away a " s-sure" was from Marco while Jean responded with a " whatever"
Eren smiled " thanks guys"
They nodded and left with bright red faces. Armin waved his friends goodbye before turning and motioned for the sibling to follow him.
They climbed the stairs of the hotel and arrived to their room " Here you go guys" Armin said happily
Mikasa nodded and opened the door while Eren quickly thanked Armin before the blonde walked away.
Eren looked around the room, it had a single queen sized bed with a broken TV and some halfway broken dressers.
" It's not bad" Eren said putting their backpack on the bed (I'm sorry I didn't mention the backpack😭😭😭 I won't do it in the future)
Mikasa shrugged and closed then locked the door. Looking at their bloody clothes Mikasa sighed and went into the bathroom and turned on the water
" they really do have running water. And it's hot!" Mikasa yelled to Eren
" you take a shower first! I'll take mines after you!" Eren yelled back
" okay!" She yelled back before stripping off her clothes and hopping in
Eren sigh and sat on the bed, he was far too used to being covered in blood to care for the feeling anymore.
He closed his eyes and his mother's death started to play in his mind which caused him to quickly reopen them in a panic.
Eren sighed and rubbed his forehead " why now?"
Eren took a deep breath and forced him not to cry but a few tears still escaped. Hearing the water stop running he quickly wiped his face and grabbed the scissors from the bag and touched his hair; he would always keep it long to remind himself of his mother but it was getting to dangerous for long hair now, he already convinced Mikasa to cut her hair and he was going to do the same.
" Your turn" Mikasa said walking out the bathroom in a old towel
Eren nodded and went into the bathroom, stripping off his clothes Eren jump into the hot water. Sighing in relief he washed his body and his hair before cutting it off to a much shorter length. (His normal hair style)
After getting out the shower he dryed himself and slipped on a black oversized shirt. He walked out the bathroom to see Mikasa already in bed and slipped in besides her. Eren closed his eyes, hoping for no nightmares tonight.
