Chapter 5

" See Marco!? You jinxed it!!" Jean huffed

Marco rolled his eyes but decided to dutifully ignore his best friend for now

" stop acting like a child?! This is serious!" Eren hissed and Jean shut up and looked at the slow approaching Titan before sighing

" we're all going to die" Jean slowly slide down the walls side and buried his face in his hands

" don't say that!! We can do it!" Marco argued yet he was terrified himself

" how?! Noon of us are trained for this!! We were only trained enough to fight the dead and other humans!! Without the Recon Corps we're all going to die!!" Armin sobbed, falling to his knees, clenching his weapon tightly

Mikasa frowned " so that's it! You guys are just going to let one titan kill us all?!"

Jean glared" what the fuck do you want us to do?!"

" Fight!" Eren yelled, everyone stopped and stared at the ravanette " Fight! We can't win if we don't fight!"

Armin stood up still clenching his weapon " we don't stand a chance Eren!"

Eren scowled " bullshit! I call bullshit! We can take it down!"

Marco frowned " but how?! I don't think the soldiers are ready for another fight!" Marco looked around, watching as other soldiers and people helped each other, people were wounded and exasperated

Eren looked around with him before an idea popped into his head " Every soldier here know how to use a sniper right?" He asked

" no, not all of us, it's more half, half " Marco replied

Eren nodded" good enough, it'll take awhile before the titan gets too close so get all the snipers on top of the wall and ready to shoot"

Marco nodded hesitately " but most people here have never even seen a titan before, they'll be too afraid"

Eren scowled " if they want to live, they'll suck it the fuck up. Now go!"

Marco nodded and ran to round up the snipers, there was no other choice but to trust Eren.

Eren stomped his way to Jean and pulled him up roughly and shoved him against the wall " Look horse-face we don't got fucking time for your negativity. It's either get the fuck up and fight to live or sit here and fucking die like the coward you are" Eren glared harshly at the taller male

Jean blushed at Eren and groan when he was shoved but flinched away a little at the ravanette's glare before glaring back " fuck you I'm not a damn coward! " Jean grabbed Eren's collar and pulled him closer, ignoring the fact Eren was so close to him " I'll fight for my damn self!"

Eren smirked" then do it, round up as many soldiers that can fight up and prepare them for war!"

Jean nodded and let Eren go, shoving him a little but not hard enough to hurt him, trying his best to stop from blushing " this better work"

Eren frowned " I don't do promises, especially ones I can't keep"

Jean scoffed and ran to do as told, hoping to God that whatever Eren was planning was going to work.

Armin stood up, wiping his face " w-what are you planning Eren?"

Eren smirked then looked at Mikasa " you'll all see soon enough"

Eren approached Armin and his stare serious and strict " Armin I need you to first calm down, second I need you to put your big boy pants on and help us, I need you to lead the snipers"

Armin automatically looked like he was about to panic " N-no, Eren I can't, I can-" he was cut off with a slap to the face. Armin's eyes widened and he held his cheek, not understanding what happened for a minute.

" Get your shit together Armin! This is no time to be acting like a damn coward! Do you want to live!?"

Armin stared into Eren's eyes before hesitately replying " y-yes"

Eren frowned " I can't hear you, speak up!"

" Y-yes!" Armin replied louder

Eren continued to glare " do you want to live!!"

Armin clenched his gun in his hand before glaring at Eren, a new flame behind his baby blue eyes " I want to live!"

Eren smirked" then get on the wall and help Marco, we don't have too much time!"

Armin nodded and ran to help, barking out orders which surprised most and putting his trust into Eren.

Eren turned to Mikasa " are you ready?"

Mikasa smirked" I'm always ready, Eren especially if you are"

Eren nodded with a small smile and they both went out the gates, having them closed as soon as they left. They approached the group of soldiers already outside the gates.

Eren looked at them, they were clearly terrified, staring at the slow approaching blood-thirty beast. Eren glared at it, knowing if he didn't find a way to motivate the soldiers to fight, they could all die.

Eren stood in front of them, with Mikasa by his side of course, and he could already hear the soldiers whispers and see uncertainty on their faces.

" My name is Eren, this is my sister Mikasa and we'll be the ones to lead you all to victory! " Eren yelled

The soldiers were confused, they didn't know Eren or Mikasa and they were just kids! The soldiers knew they were going to die.

" I know you're scared but we can defeat this titan if we work together! This is the plan, the snipers will slow down the titan by shooting at it's limbs! Then the ground team will charge and cause the giant to fall! Once it's down we can take out it's weak spot and kill it!"

Eren could still see uncertainty on everyone's faces so he tried again " Are you all just going to allow this titan to destroy everything you all worked for?! To protect?! The bit of stability you all have left?! There's only two ways today is going to go, if we win, we live! If we lose, we die! We can't win if we don't fight! So let's fight, fight!"

" FIGHT!!!!" The soldiers screamed, and Eren smirked, everyone was ready and motivated to fight and Eren knew they had a chance now

Looking up Eren saw Marco and Armin staring down at him with what he could of swore there were stars in their eyes and their faces were pink, he hoped they were getting sick.

Jean walked up to them and smirked cockily at Eren " let's beat some undead ass!"

Eren giggled at the taller male and nodded, he had a good feeling which he hoped was right.

" Eren, it's getting close" Mikasa reminded and Eren nodded

" snipers, on my signal!" Eren quickly readied Blake before he held two fingers in the air and the everyone readied themselves, guns were loaded and ready to shoot, sword and other weapons ready to slice open flesh

Eren glared as the rotting beast got closer before slicing the air with his hand and shots were fired
