Ch. 1 Soul Reaper Academy

Here's a new book that I wanted to begin writing. Like I said it my Harribel story that Yoruichi is one of my favorite characters of bleach. The first chapter will be the beginning of the MCs career as a Soul Reaper and will lead towards the beginning of the Anime. Seeing as how they explained what happens with Yoruichi and others end up in Karakura Town much later in the show. Anyways let's begin.

The day finally comes for Y/N to join the Soul Reaper Academy has come. His mom and sister are there to see him off. His mother is a former Soul Reaper but decided to retire when she was pregnant with Y/N. Her name is Mikoto L/N and she has long brown hair and brown eyes. Both Y/N and his sister inherited both eye color and hair color from their mom. When their mother was a Soul Reaper had great power and knowledge of many different kido spells who see helps teach Y/N some of them. Though she never attained bankai she knew deep down that Y/N has a great chance to achieve it. That's because of Y/Ns and Kylie's dad who is a former Captain of the thirteen court squads. His name is James L/N. Shortly after Mikoto gave birth to Y/N he also put in his resignation leaving the third division vacant until the newly promoted Rōjūrō Ōtoribashi replaced him as Captain.

James is very proud that his son has decided to become a Soul Reaper. Seeing as Kylie is still to young to become one yet, James has taught his son the harshness of the what it takes to be a Soul Reaper. James puts Y/N through rigorous and difficult training to prepare him for the Academy. While his mothers gentle ways of training Y/N gives him the best of both worlds. Then the day of joining the Academy arrived. "Alright son the day you become a Soul Reaper is beginning. I just want you to know that I'm very proud of you," says Y/Ns dad. His mom looks at him with a proud smile. "I'll know you'll do great things here and learn the meaning of what it's like to be a Soul Reaper,"
Y/Ns mom proudly added. "Please don't forget me big brother," adds Kylie. Y/N bend down to sisters height and pats here head before speaking. "I'll never forget you Ky, and I promise to visit as much as I can," says Y/N before walking away towards the Academy.

After the introduction to the academy they instructors put everyone who has joined through some tests to see what class each Soul Reaper will be put into. There are some who only excel at using a sword and others only excel in kido but their are very few who excelled in both. For those who struggled with the trainings were put into the normal class. Those who did exceedingly better were put into the advanced class. Y/N being one of the only Soul Reapers who impressed the instructors. Of course he wasn't the main one to impress them but nonetheless that was when the classified hin as having high potential to be a great Soul Reaper.

Some time has passed since joining the Academy Y/N continues to get more and more knowledge of many different types of Kido. He also has gotten more skilled with using a sword due to his training with his Dad. Periodically during the first few months of going to the Academy he finds the opportune time to visit home and spend time with his family especially his sister. When Y/N isn't home is when Kylie gets lonely. She constantly tells her parents that she wants to be like her big brother and be a Soul Reaper. When she tells them this they can't help but smile and start the minor process of beginning to teach their young daughter about the history of the Soul Society as well as what its meant to be a Soul Reaper.

The Academy decides to have the Soul Reapers train with each other. They also decided to have a tournament between them all. Before the tournament began Y/Ns childhood best friend Jimmy approaches him. "Man the Academy just loves to test us eh Y/N," says Jimmy grinning. "Yeah but at least it will test most of us," grins Y/N. The two friends shake hands and wish each other good luck. The tournament begins shortly after the two shook hands. The first match took over a mere five minutes and the victor of the match arrogantly smirks with his victory. "Victory is mine. That's why you don't mess with me. For those who have watched this match, remember my name. My name is Jack!" Yelled the now named Jack. 'Seems to me that he thinks way to highly of himself. I kind of hope I get a chance to fight him.' Y/N thinks to himself. The opponent that Y/N was assigned to fight didn't stand much of a chance against him. He bows his head in respect to his fellow Soul Reaper. The Soul Reaper he fought smiled at the respect even though it was a complete loss. "Thank you for the honor of this match," says Y/N. "No thank you and it's an honor to fight against the former Captain of Squad threes son," says the defeated man with a bow. This shocked Y/N to  no end. Shortly after the bout the man introduced himself as Dante and hoped to be good friends with me. He also said good luck and walked away to spectate the rest of the matches. After a few more matches it was Jimmy's turn to fight and his opponent happens to be a strong looking man. The fight at first was back and forth into the speed outpaces the power of his opponent ending with Jimmy's victory. Many more fights concluded some of them were impressive and some of them were disappointing results.

That was until the Instructors put Jack and Y/N against each other. "Well finally someone who might actually be a challenge to me," sneered Jack.
Y/N couldn't keep the grin off his face. 'Thank you for the chance to prove that I'm meant to be a Soul Reaper."
Y/N thinks and thanks the Instructors for this opportunity. "I can say the same thing about you," agreed Y/N. "But if you think you stand a chance against a former Captains son then I'm sorry but you don't stand much of a chance," continued Y/N. At this revelation Jack went wide eyed. 'Shit this might end horribly for me." Thinks Jack. The fight between the two begins after the revelation of Y/Ns Dad former Captaincy. Y/N and Jack clash back and forth for a while but the whole time Y/N was testing Jack's skill. Y/N having a tactician like mind knew exactly how this fight will end. With this turn of events Y/N smile grows bigger. Jack thought he may have the fight against Y/N on his side until he saw Y/Ns grin and knew this was a losing fight. "Now it's my turn," announced Y/N. The fight then turns in favor of Y/N and in a very short time ends with a devastating gut shot taken by Jack who falls to his knees with a loss. "Victory goes to Y/N," announced one of the Instructors. After the announcement of his loss Jack stayed on the ground until a hand was reached out towards hims. It was Y/N. "Hey let me help you up," offered Y/N. Jack looks at the hand and let's Y/N help him up. "Thanks man. That was a great fight Y/N," Jack says sounding happy. "Yeah it was and I would like to be friends with you," says Y/N. "I would like that. Oh and good luck on fight your friend in the final," says Jack who walks away to watch.

The instructors announce a short break before the final fight. Sometime during the fight between Jack and
Y/N is when a certain short haired woman with purple hair and a set of golden eyes caught a interest in the brown haired man who is the son of a former Captain of Squad Three. 'I must get him to join Squad Two before anyway snatches him up." Says the Captain of Squad Two Yoruichi Shihoin to herself.

After the short break is when the last fight of the Tournament will begin between Y/N and Jimmy. The fight then begins and the two friends go all out in a continuous back and forth. Both training Soul Reapers know everything about their weaknesses but Jimmy knows that no matter what he will lose against Y/N. Jimmy knew the instant he saw Y/Ns grin that it was over and with that Jimmy has lost the fight against Y/n. Y/N helps Jimmy up and heard his name as the victor. "That smile of yours is going to be a trademark of yours. I guarantee that" says Jimmy. "I can't help it. Its something I got from my dad," pouts Y/N. Jimmy laughs and walks away as everyone goes to leave. Yoruichi watched the fight against Jack and the one against Jimmy with a wide smile on her face and knew that she needed him on her Squad.

Here is the story with Yoruichi. I hope this first chapter was good. It was a lot longer than the other stories I have done but it was neccessary and I hope the fights weren't lackluster. I'm still working on trying to make it all fluid so as not to rush a story. Next chapter New Member of Squad Two
