Ch.5 Captain and Lieutenant of Squad 14

Been a while since I updated this story. Trying not to burn myself out and having to deal with a work schedule that changes daily.

Both Captain and Lieutenant arrive at the barracks of Squad 14. Y/N looks at his new barracks with Yoruichi by his side as his Lieutenant. "I never thought I would see you in a soul reaper outfit again," Y/N says as he looks at her. Yoruichi turns and smiles at Y/N. "I'm glad that I'm here again and by your side once again," says Yoruichi with a grin spreading on her face. "Let's go meet our new squad," says Y/N. They both enter the barracks and the squad has thrown a welcoming party. The two them were surprised just a little. Y/N sees both Jimmy and Jack with smiles on their face to see their Captain and Lieutenant together again.

The two begin the long work of helping train newer recruits the way that the squad will be led with the help of the third and fourth seats. The squad itself is motivated by Yoruichi who they know was a former Captain.  This motivates Y/N because he knows he can trust her as bis Lieutenant to keep the Squad in check. The most surprising additions to the squad was both Jimmy and Jack because both were from different squads. Jack mainly joined because of Y/Ns promotion and the fact they have been friends since Soul Academy.  One day both Yoruichi and Y/N decide to have a training session with each other to show the squad their skill. The spar goes back and forth for a while and ends in a draw since the both of them know how the other fights. The squad erupts with cheers after watching an incredible spar. Later on in the day the two of them are in their office just chatting. "I'm guessing you must know how I feel about you even after you had disappeared," says Y/N. When Y/N said that it caused Yoruichi to look down for a sec before she looks towards him. "I did realize how you felt about it and if I'm going to be honest it hurt not taking you with me," said Yoruichi.

Y/N looks at her and can tell how much its been bothering her. He gets up and walks behind her desk and hugs her. "Hey I didn't mean to bring up bad memories. I'm truly happy that you felt the way you did. I never really blamed you for anything," says Y/N. Yoruichi hugs him back and melts into the embrace. "This is why I love you," whispers Yoruichi. Even though it was a whisper Y/N caught what she said and was a little shocked. "You..love me?" Asked Y/N. Yoruichi went wide eyed and realization at what she just said. "I..do Y/N. I didn't mean for you to find out so soon. That was why I wanted to be by your side as your Lieutenant but yeah I do love you Y/n. With all my heart," confessed Yoruichi. Y/N looks slightly stunned at Yoruichi's confession but he ends up smiling widely. "I've been in love with you for so long. Ever since our squad 2 days. I'm very happy right now," said Y/N. They both embrace once again after they both confessed their feelings for each other. "So I guess that makes us a couple?" Asked Y/N. "Of course it does silly," says Yoruichi with a big grin.

Yoruichi goes to see Soi Fon and tells her how things have been going. "So you and Y/N finally decided to become a couple," says Soi Fon. Yoruichi only nods to Soi Fon when she said that. "You seem awfully calm about this," says Yoruichi. Soi Fon laughs a little at that. "I'm not surprised that the two of you got together. You were always hanging around Y/N back in the old days," says Soi Fon with a small grin. Yoryichi can only smile at Soi Fons acceptance of her new found relationship with Y/N. The two spend some time catching up before Yoruichi heads to the shared house with Y/N. Once she arrives inside the house she goes to look for Y/N. "Y/N are you home?" Asks Yoruichi. "I'm in the kitchen making dinner Yoru," answered Y/N. Yoruichi smiles at the nickname. "A nickname already grimmie?" Says Yoruichi as she wraps her arms around her boyfriend. Y/N flinches at the nickname. "Did Yachiru tell you that nickname?" Asked Y/N. He feels Yoruichi nod at the question while he sighs. "Figures that you would find out that name," says Y/N laughing a bit afterwards. "What's for dinner
Y/N?" Asks Yoruichi. "I'm making your favorite from back then," says Y/N. Yoruichi's grip tightens around Y/N due to him remembering what she liked to eat all those years ago.

Once dinner was finished being made and eaten by the two they spent the next few hours just relaxing with each other and talking about many different subjects. The one subject that was talked about the most was about how much stronger Y/N has gotten since the last time they saw each other. "So did you begin your bankai training when you were on my squad or squad 7?" Asked Yoruichi. "Part of it was during my time with you but most of it was with squad 7," said Y/N. Yoruichi took pride when Y/N was on her squad because she had someone to rely on. She looks down after a little bit and doesn't notice Y/N looking at her with concern. "Hey are younok Yoru?" Asks Y/N while looking at Yoruichi l. She looks up at him with some tears in her eyes. "I just hate that I left the way I did and didn't see your growth into the fine man you have become. I'm truly happy being with you right now," Yoruichi said with a bright smile. Y/N proceeds to wipe her tears away and smiles. "Well I'm glad that I can show you the growth that I have gone through these past years of not seeing each other," says Y/N smiling. The two chatted a little more and go to their separate rooms. After everything that has happened with the Soul Society the past few days after the three Captains had betrayed them another threat is upon them. The invasion of the Bounts is upon them.

Another chapter done. It's only a little bit longer but it's to build up to the Bounts.
