"It will account for much Destroyer," he snaps. "We left to give those too weak to challenge him some measure of safety."

"If you return they will be the first to be killed. That is why you want me to lead your people. So they will be spared," I say, finally coming to a conclusion.

"It is one reason, the second is that you think well on your feet. You will adjust your attack plan by what you see," he says, with confidence.

"So let me get this straight. I can kill the pretender, I could kill you or you'll start option three which I have yet to decipher," I say. His human form is handsome. He is built strong and sturdy. He has sandy blonde hair, and dazzling blue eyes. He's probably over six feet tall. He's tan from being in the sun a lot.

"Either option one or option three is fine by me," he says with a bit of a smirk.

"I am still unclear as to the third so that leaves me with two options. I have no personal interest other than to return the plains hunting grounds to my people."

"If you help us get rid of the upstart, we can move out of this area and your people can have it back."

"So it is this option or none," I say.

"No I already told you there are two options, but you have yet to puzzle the other one out," he says, with a smirk still.

"No riddles, today, you must teach me all you know so I can make a plan."

"Fine, you eat, we talk, you listen. I assume you can multi-task." I nodded as I grab a piece of bread and another slice of cheese. I listen as they try to tell me the entire layout of a dragon-sized castle. My brain is full of information and my stomach is finally full of food when I yawn. We are shuffling up the stairs to my room with me in the lead when a man jumps out of the shadows and slashes at us. I react to the threat without thought. I block the blow with the chains between my wrists and kick out at the attacker's legs. He stumbles back giving my captor time to pull his sword. I then drop down on the ground closet to the wall and then shuffle down the stairs and out of the way only to encounter a second attacker. I stick my foot out knowing he's focused on my captor and watch him sprawl onto the stairs. I quickly jump on his back and wrap my chain around his neck and begin to pull back. The man releases his sword in favor of continuing to breathe. My captor finishes off the first one and turns to find me and the other one. The look of shock is unmistakable followed by the look of amusement.

"I'm surprised you haven't killed him yet," my captor says, pointing his sword under the man's chin. I slowly untangle myself from the man. His first comes charging up the stairs and tries to take in the scene. I cannot read his feelings as I can the captor.

"I thought you might want to question him," I say. We return to the room and I listen and eat some more while they tell me everything they can.

"I think she's full," his number one says. "Let her rest for the night and begin where we left off in the morning." I am escorted back to the room, but not bound to the bed. I lay down feeling exhausted suddenly. I sleep soundly and wake to sunlight pouring through the window. I roll off the bed and onto my feet to the laughter of my keeper.

"Do you ever truly let down your guard?" he asks, holding out a key.

"No it is not one of my practices, you know my name what is yours?"

"I only know your given name, not your true name. Then give me a name I may call you or should I call you murderer, thief, poacher, kidnapper..." I let my voice trail off as he laughs.

"You may call me Evergreen," he says. smiling. "Well, Destroyer are we ready for another day of learning?"

"I must and therefore I am ready," I say. He accompanies me down the stairs.
