Why Don't We Change

Friends

I woke up and stretched until I was ready to get up.

Surprisingly nobody was in my house so it was silent.

I need to change that, I thought turning on some music preferably Billie Eillish.

I brushed my teeth and took a shower. After some looking I found my ootd (the outfit above minus the hat), I put on light makeup and let my hair down.

I went on my phone for a little while until I heard the doorbell.

I opened it expecting it to be Zach but it wasn't. It was Daniel freaking Seavey.

I got nervous and closed the door back. I fixed my hair and looked at myself threw my phone.
Wait why am I even trying to look nice?
I asked myself slapping my head while opening the door.

"Hey" I said looking up at him
"Hey" He said scanning my body.
This is getting awkward,
"Come in.." I said moving away from the door.
"You sure do know how to dress" he said staring at me.
"Yea yea whatever...so why did you come here?" I asked crossing my arms.
"Okay I came to take you out" he said
"Daniel I don-"
"Come on it's just a friendly date that friends do" he said pleading
Ouch that hurt
I thought hearing the word "friend."
"Ok fine let me put my shoes on" I said rolling my eyes.
"You look cute with your glasses on." He said as we walked to my car.
"Daniel you should have a car by now" I said hitting him.

"I'll drive" he says grabbing the keys out of my hand.
"So where are we going?" I asked him as he drove.
"No where special" he said looking at me while smiling.
"Stop being cute!" I whined folding my arms.
"I can't help it" he teased making us both laugh.
Then the weird silence begun,
I didn't talk to him and I just stayed on my phone.
Gosh this is so awkward
"We're here" He said parking in the lot.
"Daniel what the heck?" I asked while looking at him
"What? I said this was a friendly date" he said smiling at me.
"You're so stupid" I laughed as we enter some bakery.
"Why are we here?" I asked Looking at him.
"Well this place has the best dessert so let's go in." He said grabbing my hand.

I honestly never wanted to let go.

Apparently not a lot of people come here so it's kinda empty. It's a cute little cafe. The aesthetics in here are great too, it's probably a new place then.

"Hi, how may I help you?" The lady asked while looking at us.
"What do you want?" Daniel asked, I looked at all the choices and decided to pick a red velvet cupcake with some red sprinkles.
Daniel picked a strawberry one, which looked good too.
"I'll pay" he said giving the lady his card.
"Go find a table" he said while paying. I nodded and found this cute pastel pink table.
"Daniel this place is so cute" I said smiling.
"Yea it is..just like you" he said handing me my cupcake.

I ate my cupcake trying not to smile but failed.
"Hey, I know we aren't on good terms right now but, I still wanna be friends with you..even though I still love you." He says looking away.
"I still love you too" I said holding his hand.

We left the bakery and he took me home.
But he stayed so he could watch movies with me.
As we were sitting on the couch eating ice cream.
I felt his thumb wipe my cheek, so I stared at him.
We both started to lean in and it happened.
We.

Kissed.

"Daniel friends don't kiss" I said as our faces were inches apart.
"Yea, that's because we're not normal friends." He said kissing my jaw.
I knew this was gonna happen I thought as he trailed kisses along my jawline.
"Okay that's enough" I said as he stopped.
"I guess we're friends that kiss then" he said smiling.
I rolled my eyes and continued watching the movie.
