"Hi, Jay" a girl says "Hey" I say back
"Jay" another girl says "Hey, what's up?" I say, other girls say hi to me too
"Why do you torture them? Just pick someone to take to Cotillion already" Carlos asks
"I'm going solo. That way, I can dance with all of them" I say
"Ah! You're the expert. Um, Jay... if you were gonna ask someone, what's the best way to go?" Carlos asks
"Listen, all you got to do... is look like me" I say
"Oh, ha-ha" Carlos says
"But seriously Carlos, you have to talk to Maddie. She thinks you hate her" I tell Carlos
"I know, I just get so nervous every time I talk to her" Carlos says
"So you ignore her instead? That's dumb" I say
"Hey she's over there, I'll try to talk to her" he says walking over to her

The next day I was walking with Jane looking for Mal, we walk over to her when we spot her
"Mal!" Jane shouts
"Hey Maddie" Carlos says walking over to me
"Hey?" I say looking at him weirdly
"I was wondering...uh... if you liked the.... carrot cake last night" he asks
"I had the pumpkin pie" I say
"Oh, cool. Um, uh--" he say
"Smooth" Jay says walking by pushing him with him, I walk over to Jane and Mal seeing them talking
"I have an opening for a fitting at 3:00. Who wants it?" Evie asks walking over to us
"Me! Sorry" Lonnie says
"Perfect. I'll take you later" Evie says
"Mal?" Jane asks getting her attention
"Yes?" She asks
"I hate to keep bugging you, but the decorating committee needs more answers. So, as much as I hate to, um... you know, um..." Jane says stuttering
"Bug me?" Male says
"Right" Jane says
"Yeah, Jane, I would love to. I just have to get to class" Mal says trying to get away
"You know, just nod if you like it" Jane says "Okay" Mal says
"Chair swags. Entry banner. Twinkle lights. Napkin design. Table bunting. And you still haven't picked the party favors yet" Jane says
"Honestly, Jane, whatever you think--" Mal says but is interrupted by Jane
"I mean, we can do chains, key charms, pen toppers. I kind of love the pen toppers, but, I mean, we can do all three" Jane says, Mal's eyes flash green before she says "I say pen toppers"
"Yeah?"Jane asks
"Yeah" Mal says
"You won't regret it" Jane then says
"Okay" Mal says
"I can hardly wait to see what your wedding will look like!" Lonnie says
"Me, too. Wait! What?!" Mal says shocked
"The Royal Cotillion is like getting engaged to be engaged to be engaged" Jane says
"I knew it!" Evie says
"Well, everyone knows it" Lonnie says
"I didn't know it! How come nobody told me that? Is my entire life just planned out in front of me--" Mal says
"Hi, Mal" Ben says from behind her
"Hi, Ben" Evie, Lonnie, Jane and me say
"Oh, oh. Quick moment" Jane says pulling Ben with her
