Eddie woke up with boundless amounts of energy. The whole night before he had been singing at the top of his lungs to all kinds of music. He felt new, in a way. He did rearranging and painting in his room. He made the room seem more like himself. He replaced stupid papers of medicine information with notebooks and cassette tapes on his desk, and left his boom box next to it. He left his clothes the same, it made it easier to find what he wants to wear. Eddie searched his drawers and got rid of old toys that he didn't use anymore. Some of them he didn't even remember having. But if it reminded him of Richie, it stayed. He sent the rest downstairs and gave him to his mom. He knew Sonia would take care of them from there.
~
Eddie again got ready quickly. He put a plain red striped shirt on as well as some denim shorts. He tried his best to look good, he had that sense of motivation today. Luckily, today was Friday, and he wouldn't have to go back to school until Monday. He grabbed his stuff and ran outside. He busted through the door surprised to see someone waiting for him.

It was Bill. He was riding on his bike, Silver, and had another bike next to him.

"H-hey Eddie. I s-saw you riding on Richie's b-bike yesterday and f-fig-figured you needed one to u-use. We still had G-Geor-Georgi-"

Eddie ran up to Bill and gave him a quick hug. "Thanks Bill, it means a lot. But what if I break it? I'm not exactly the most careful person."

"It's okay. I-it reminds me of h-him anyways. A-and you are small. I w-want to talk to y-you."

Eddie got on the bike. It was for little kids, but he didn't want to upset Bill. He was just trying to help him.

"You can talk to me about anything Bill." They started riding the bikes down the block.

"It's about Ri-Richie."

Eddie felt his heart shatter, Bill was probably sent to tell Eddie how much of a freak he is, and that Richie doesn't want to talk to him again. Eddie didn't want that to happen, he looked down at the crooked sidewalk he was riding on. "What about him?" He mumbled.

"W-What's going on between y-you t-two? Me and St-Stan think something is u-up. Do you have a s-s-secret?"

Eddie's eyes widened. "What!? No, of course not! Nothing is going on." He laughed nervously and looked back at Bill, he didn't think he was buying it.

"O-Okay, S-Stan is going to a-ask R-Richie about it t-too though. He's really s-su-sus-"

"Suspicious?"

"Yeah, th-thanks Eddie."

"Yeah, no problem." Eddie really hoped that Trashmouth could be quiet. "Why do you guys think we are hiding something?"

"Y-you actually, we always th-think Richie is hi-hiding something but y-you seemed weird. Especially after sc-school. You guys w-were walking p-pretty-"

"AH! OH MY GOD! You saw that?" Eddie felt his cheeks burn. He looked back at Bill who was laughing his ass off. Shit. Why didn't you even process you were at school Kaspbrak? Bill caught up so he could look at Eddie.

"I'd s-say the whole school d-did! I'm surprised Ri-Richie hasn't been m-made fun of f-for being g-gay yet. Why'd y-you give in?"

Eddie looked at Bill confused. "I was tired of Richie asking so I let him. But wait, did you say Richie's gay? Is he?"

"No, h-he's not. He j-just acts pretty g-gay around us. Y-you especially. He o-only makes c-comments to us, b-but he's all over y-you."

Eddie's thoughts were mixed about what Bill had said, so he's not gay, that means he won't like me. But then again he's all over me? What the fuck is that supposed to mean?
~
The rest of the ride was silent until they reached the school. Stan and Richie were waiting by the bike stand.

"Awww, Eddie's widing a wittle baby bike! How cute!"

"Only for now, I'll get a new bike soon."

Richie walked up and pinched his cheek. Eddie hit his hands off and glared at him. He remembered Stan had to talk to him. Eddie stood on his tiptoes and tried to reach Richie's ear.

He was still too short. Eddie jumped up and down while Richie laughed at the small boy's attempts. Eddie pouted and scrunched his eyebrows. Richie leaned down and Eddie cupped his hands over Richie's ear,

"Did Stanley ask you anything about us?"

Richie stood up and started yelling, "yeah I told him everything! Like how-"

Eddie placed his hands over Richie's mouth. "Shut up Richie! It's not funny!" Richie smiled and licked Eddie's hand.

Eddie freaked out and started shaking his hand around. He opened his fanny pack and brought out a disinfectant wipe and washed his hand while he gave Richie a rant on all of the sicknesses and germs he could get from doing that.

"Eds, I really didn't stay anything to Stan. I promise you. It's just our secret for now." Richie winked at Eddie and started to walk away.

Eddie stood back for a second, as red as a tomato. For now. Eddie smiled and ran to catch up to Richie. That confirmed it. It wasn't a one time thing. Eddie was honestly excited for what was to come. But he knew he had to be more careful if he doesn't want Bowers finding him.

Shit, Bowers. He probably had front row tickets to the show they put on. If he knew, he was dead. Richie was dead. Even the slightest hint of someone being queer will set Bowers loose.
~
Eddie and Richie had lost the other Losers, they must have walked off while the two were talking. Richie used it as an opportunity to make a simple move. He put his arm on top of Eddie's head. Eddie fidgeted with his thumbs a little bit, but Richie would do this on a daily basis anyway, it wasn't anything new.

"I wish I didn't care about my fucking grades. I would skip again if I could."

Everyone always thought Richie as a kid who liked to smoke and fail school. But only half of that thought was right. Richie had cared about his grades a lot, and tried hard to keep them up. He wanted to end up successful, he had so many dreams and didn't want to waste them while being a stupid teenager. He didn't want to end up like his parents, basically. Always getting drunk and loosing too much money on God knows what. Only thing he knew, barely any of it was to help their son. But sometimes his parents would come home with cigarettes they didn't remember buying. Richie would take them and hide them in his drawer and save them. It was another reason he didn't want Eddie to clean his room. He didn't want him to find the unhealthy amount of cigarettes hidden.

"Me too, Rich. It was fun, but my mom would also kill me."

They were now standing in front of Eddie's classroom, "I'll see you later Trashmouth,"

Richie came over and swallowed Eddie in a hug.

"Alrighty, Eddie Spaghetti. I'll miss youuu!"

Richie ran down the hallway while saying that last syllable. Eddie shook his head and laughed as he got ready for the long day of school ahead

Authors Note: So I kind of changed the look of my writing slightly but I like it more for some reason. This chapter was pretty meh but I needed this to put in information, thank you for reading <3 I'll update soon, but I am going to possibly make chapters longer from now on. Most are averaging at around 1300 words and I feel like it's a little too short hehe💕💕💕
