"Can we get some more cake?" Celia asked as I fixed the twins' glasses. I looked down at her and nodded, taking her into the kitchen. Uma and Bridgette were already sat at the table, eating their own slices of Jane's cake and sipping a glass of milk. I cut Celia a slice and stood beside Mal. I tapped her shoulder and nodded to Bridgette and Uma. She looked at me stubbornly, but I tilted my head at her. She rolled her eyes and pulled me along with her as she walked over to them.
"That was a really good idea." I stared, nudging Mal to uncross her arms. She let them drop to her sides with a scowl. "To check Audrey's room."
Bridgette looked over her shoulder, staring at Mal and I blankly.
"Now we know we're on the right track." Mal added.
"Is there an insult in there that we missed?" Uma asked, looking up at us.
"Just..." Mal said. "I wanted to thank you."
Celia and Bridgette shared a look, the glare softening off of Bridgette's face.
"You're welcome." She deadpanned, sticking another bite of cake in her mouth. I smiled slightly and nodded. "I don't know who's birthday it is, but I want this cake."
Mal and I laughed as we sat across from her and Uma, cutting ourselves slices of cake too.
"So, I..." Mal trailed off. "Maybe I kinda missed the boat a little bit on calling you Shrimpy and not letting you join the gang."
"Yeah," Uma sighed. "We really could've torn up the Isle together. But, I got my family now. So thanks, I guess."
"How is she your family?" I asked, pointing at Bridgette.
"Despite what you may think about me," Bridgette said, surprising us all that she didn't sound angry or sarcastic. "I'm fiercely loyal to those I trust. And I don't trust easy."
"But you trust Uma, Harry, and Gil?" Mal asked.
"With my life." She nodded, swiping her finger across some frosting. With a smirk on her face, she wiped it on Uma's nose.
"B!" Uma gasped, laughing. While Uma wiped the frosting off her nose, wooden planks slammed against all the doors and windows on Evie's castle.
"What is happening?" Bridgette growled, glaring at the boards with glowing yellow eyes. She grabbed Uma as she stood, steadying herself as the house shook. Mal and I grabbed them both, calling for Celia.
"We're trapped!" Celia yelled, running into Uma's arms.
"Are you guys okay?" Evie asked, rushing into the dining room with Doug. "What's going on?"
"You've cause my friends pain and fear, we've had enough, now disappear." Mal tried to cast a spell. Nothing happened, and she panicked slightly. "You guys, I'm sorry, my spells aren't working. Audrey's magic is getting stronger."
I felt my own magic coursing through my veins with a new intensity, and I glanced down at my hands. Uma pulled her necklace out of her shirt, furrowing her brow at it's glowing state. Gold mist formed around Bridgette, and she looked at me with confused yellow eyes.
Uma grabbed Bridgette's hand and turned to Mal. She motioned to her necklace and then at Bridgette before grabbing her hand. I grabbed Mal's other hand and we all started chanting.
"You caused our friends pain and fear, we've had enough, now disappear." Instantly the boards fell from the windows, and we all sighed in relief.
"You did it." Evie commented, looking between the four of us. "Together. This is what I've been talking about."
"I guess my shell likes you." Uma said, smiling slightly at Mal. "And I guess B's wolf likes you too."
Bridgette and Uma shared a look before Bridgette nodded. Uma reached into the shell on her necklace and pulled out the ember, handing it to Bridgette.
"Why don't you hold on to this?" Bridgette asked, handing the ember to Mal.
"Thanks Bridgette." Mal smiled.
"My friends call me B." She smiled back. Celia ran to the door and looked out, turning back to us with a smile.
"Hey," She said to Mal. "It's your bae."
We all rushed out the door to meet with the guys. I ran straight for Carlos, nearly knocking him down in the process. He laughed as he caught me, setting me on my feet.
"I found Jane." He told me, pointing behind him.
"Jane!" I grinned, hugging her tight. "Happy birthday! I swear I made you a cake and I didn't forget about your birthday. I'm so glad you're okay, you look so nic-"
"Happy birthday, Ozzy." She cut me off with a smile. I smiled as Carlos wrapped an arm around me.
"Are you okay?" Harry sounded. We all turned to see him worriedly checking Bridgette for injuries.
"I'm fine." She mused, grabbing his arm. "I'm okay."
"Thank goodness." He sighed, pulling her into a hug.
"I always knew you'd be part of the solution." Ben commented, looking over at Bridgette. She smiled at him and turned back to Harry.
"What is this?" Mal asked, running her hands over Ben's new beard.
"You like it?" Ben asked, tilting his head.
"I could get used to this." Mal nodded.
"What about those?" Bridgette asked, pointing to her own fangs.
"No." Mal shook her head.
"I like 'em." Ben said.
"Okay! Everyone thinks that Audrey could be at Fairy Cottage." Mal informed as Carlos pulled me aside. He pulled out a chair and gestured for me to sit before he ran into the house.
"Where is Fairy Godmother when you need her?" Ben asked.
"I wish I knew." Jane sighed, sitting in the chair beside me. Carlos came back out, two boxes in his hands.
"Hey, um," Carlos said, sliding into the last available chair. Dude jumped into Jane's lap and watched Carlos. "This might be a bad time but, uh, happy birthday."
He placed one box down in front of Jane, and one in front of me. Both boxes were red and tied closed with red ribbon.
"Jane first because I gave your cake to VK's." I said sheepishly. Jane nodded and pulled the ribbon. She opened the box and gasped, smiling down at the necklace inside.
"Thanks Carlos." She smiled, pulling the silver chain out of the box. The pendant hanging at the end was the letter J. "It's beautiful."
"Just like my best friend." He beamed. Jane hugged him before putting the necklace on.
"Your turn." Carlos said, turning to me. I smiled at him and tugged on the ribbon, pulling the box open. I gasped down at the bracelet, a smile spreading across my face.
"Carlos." I muttered, pulling the charm bracelet out of the box.
"Do you like it?" He asked. I nodded as I looked at all the charms on it. A purple dragon, a blue heart, a red viper, a blue and yellow bear head, and the letters 'O' and 'C' in red within a black and white heart.
"I love it." I breathed, hugging him tight. He sighed in relief and kissed my forehead. I handed him the bracelet and held my arm out. He clasped it around my wrist and grabbed my hand.
