She dragged her body through the mud; the mud that would kill her if she lagged behind for even a second. RM was catching up quickly, his face hazy behind the cold, grey barrel of the pistol; the pistol that would kill her if she lagged behind for even a second.
Everything was dependant on time. If he mistimed his shot he would use up his last bullet. If she didn't make it out of the mud in 30 seconds, she would be dead anyway. A deafening crack rang around the valley as RM took his chances and she felt the impact just mere centimetres away from where she was crouched, the noise would attract the rest of them like vultures to a corpse.
She didn't have enough time, there was never enough time. She didn't have enough time before when she attempted to kill one of them, and she didn't have enough time now. Surely she would die this time- they though. But then she disappeared.

But then I disappeared.
They were slow, they miscalculated how far away I was from the edge. They miscalculated how long it took. Never underestimate me- there's always enough time.
The pine trees were towering guardians, hiding me from view as I climbed higher. I loved a chase but these agents were better than the last. I couldn't risk it, I had already put my life on the line once today, and once was enough. For now I needed to focus on the task ahead: getting out without being caught.
Mumbling to myself I moved from tree to tree (putting as much distance as possible between me and them) right, ok! Where am I? Having escaped escaped in the middle of the night, I had no clue where I was. It felt like I had ran miles and I probably had; I was in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by trees, being chased by YG's gang and about to collapse from exhaustion. It couldn't get any worse.
I was completely wrong
