Shine; shine like the sun, moon and stars- that's what I've always been told

Shine; shine like the sun, moon and stars- that's what I've always been told. But what if the sun went out, the moon disappeared, and the stars stopped shining one by one?

I remember, it was a Wednesday when the panic started, when the first stars started to disappear.

On Friday, the rest disappeared, and although scientists were thoroughly confused, they agreed that this wouldn't affect our daily lives- there were a few stargazers that complained but everyone else continued as normal.

Saturday was when everyone started to go into mass panic as half the world plummeted into the darkness that would soon cover everything, and many surfers came to an unfortunate end. The moon had disappeared.

Sunday would change the world forever, when the world population was basically reduced to headless chickens; and everyone had realised how insignificant they really were, money no longer mattered. The sun was gone, out like a candle.

The day the Earth changed was different, I was walking to Jungkook's like any other day, still trying to get my head around what had happened yesterday (Saturday). The moon, where had it gone? It can't just have disappeared, right?

Anyway, today wasn't the day to be worrying about such "small" things. Today was the day, and I was determined to finally beat Jungkook at Mario Kart! Of course I was worried about the moon, but I was convinced that it would show up again in a few days. Just like so many others. Little did I know that it wouldn't show up for many years to come...

5 years later

Ironic isn't it?
I didn't even make it to the end of my street when I suddenly went blind. I never had that game of Mario Kart, and I never saw Jungkook again, I wonder if he made it through the purge?

I was plunged into darkness; the sun went out. It was like it had been pinched out by a pair of giant fingers whose brain cared nothing about the human race or the others living on Earth along side it. That was the day T H E Y got their name; thieves of the sky. They stole everything from us, most notably night and day. Watches became useless and those who tried to live by the O L D rules of time were ridiculed and outcasted into the darkness, where they could see and tell nothing.

My mum was one of those people

I was pitied for having a dysfunctional family, dad went mad after mum left and he tried to follow her out, neither of them cared about me.

I didn't care about them either

During the dark days (the first days after the sun disappeared) I was only able to cope because of a friend I made; who turned out to live next door. Hoseok, my hope; my angel. The best human being this world has ever made. He was my sunshine when there was none, he was there through it all. When my parents left, he took me in and became my big brother. I loved him.

Then he left.

....
It's been a month since I met this hyperactive orange haired man. I think that he was a dancer before the darkness, at least, I think that's what the trophies say. It's hard to tell much from the dim windup torches and the little electricity there is.

"Hobi hyung, it broke again!" This is the 3rd time that the frying pan handle broke off. At first I thought that it was because it was old, but now I think I'm just clumsy, or cursed. "Seriously, how do you do it?" he asked, in awe of my destructive powers.
"I don't know! Help me fix it!"
"Nope, you broke it so you fix it" and with that, he ran away.

Sighing, I glanced out the window, and I had to do a double take. The sun was rising behind some clouds. It reminded me of sonnet 130 by Shakespeare, 'my mistress's eyes are nothing like the sun.' The sun is indeed more beautiful than many things. What shocked me was the fact that the sun, after 5 years, rose.

It was the sun, the sun that rose in the morning and set in the evening. It didn't change much, it's light was weak and it provided minimal heat, but it was there. It showed up everyday,
but when Hoseok left

He took the sun with him.

So, this had a big idea and plot but. I decided to leave it at this rather than taking you on a big old confusing journey.
