last night, my relatives forced me to dance. I kept saying no but they just literally dragged me up from my seat. the people who knew I like kpop were like 'dance to kpop if you want!' and I was just like, 'no." then my younger sister changed the music to some K-pop song, and then left me in the middle. my friend, who was also there, jumped up and was like, 'dont worry I'm here' and then I danced very very badly, because idfk how to dance.
I could see from their faces that they were holding in their laughs and I just felt so embarrassed. but my older sister, and her friends, reassured me and like cheered me on even tho I was doing shit. but when I woke up today, and since I sleep in the living room because my aunt's in my room, I overheard my parents talking to my older sister in the other room. the rooms are connected btw. they told her how I embarrassed them by dancing, like if you didn want me to dance you could've just told me no, and I would've happily followed.
my sister then told them about how I looked stupid and that K-pop is too much for me. like fam, you were the one who told me, "oh maybe dance on twice" and i was like "but twice dances are really upbeat and crazy so I shouldn't dance to them".
anyways, I cried lmao. I quickly got up from the sofa and cried somewhere else so that they wouldn't see me. and now!!! I've decided to never ever ever listen to kpop around them. I will never talk about kpop. I will never mention Korean idols. I will never awkwardly smile when they make jokes about kpop. I won't laugh when my brother in law teasingly says he likes bts when he doesn't but only does it to annoy me. I won't tell anyone to listen to kpop. I'll stop giving kpop recommendations to my brother. I won't ever dance along to some songs with my younger sister like we used to because it was just fun. in other words, I'm getting rid of K-pop from my house, and keeping it a secret now.
on a brighter note, I'm gonna try and finish one of my books by the end of the week :D
