Chapter 8 B2: FRAMED

Lumine's POV

As me and my mom ate some of the food she brought me. I decided to share since a mother's job is really tough, I grabbed a napkin and placed it on my mother's chest

"Lumine what are you doing?" She asked with a chuckled, I looked at her and raised my spoon "say ahhh mother" I said as she smiled again and opened her mouth.

This scene was like the old days when I was little, she always embrace me with cold hands, she sometimes tremble but still felt her sweet warmth. The mood was amazing, I felt super alright now. It's like my problems have been killed at swept away

But of course it didn't last long. A knock on the door was heard, me and my mother flinched and looked at each other and at the door. We broke the embrace and chuckled, "you better open it sweetie" she said and locked her hands together as she watched me walked to the door.

I sighed and opened the door without hesitation, but to my surprise I saw standing in the doorway is Kody's Ex fiancé's butler. He was just still until he handed an envelope directly at my face, I didn't think before taking it from him

"Lady Adeina and her Fiancé wanted to give this letter to you, she said you must read it alone and keep it after" he said then walked away without any comment or eye contact.

I closed the door slowly and looked at the envelope clutched onto my hand. I raised up my head and looked at my mother with a worried face, she flinched and opened her arms for me to hug her, I started tearing up and ran in between her arms. "Mother i'm scared what if there's something I don't want to see in this envelope?" I exclaimed.

My mother gently rubs my back to calm me down and said "it's okay sweetie remember whatever happens?"

"Happens" I replied as we chuckled together. After that, she stood up and walked to the door opening it gently then looking back at me saying "remember Lumine momma's here whenever you need it" I smiled as she closed the door. My smile faded as my eyes focused on the letter that is being gripped by my hand.

I was thinking if I should really read the letter or not, I got a really bad feeling while holding it. And I don't know why

"Why would they send me a letter when they can just tell me personally?" I asked myself, sitting on my bed

"People and their stupid money" I exclaimed.

Seriously why of all people could it be me that have so many problems. I even feel so guilty that my mother is involved.

I sighed loudly as I collapsed on the bed looking at the envelope "whatever you have bring it on" I said then ripped it open like an cheerful child excited to open it's present. As I threw the ripped envelope in the trash bin I read it silently, reading every word seriously my mouth froze and my eyes twitched.

"Dear Wolf,

Don't worry this isn't a threat, I just wanna say thank you for giving Kody to me thanks for taking care of him and all. You're really sweet when it comes to him.---

I rolled my eyes and read it all the way, as tears fell down my cheeks.

But it's not enough, he always looked depressed everytime I try to speak to him, he pushes me away when I wanted to kiss him. It's like I don't belong here,

So since our upcoming Marriage has nothing to do with you i've decided to lure Kody to me myself. I hope you don't mind getting kicked out of the house
