Chapter 25
It was Demonte's birthday and Devin was cooking out in the back yard. Selina was at Devin's side like glue side eyeing Zenyatta. Zenyatta was annoyed, but kept her composure. Demonte put on some music as party guest started to arrive. They mingled among themselves as Zenyatta called Zeniya but got no answer. Two hours later, still no answer from Zeniya. The party went on as everyone gathered in the backyard. The joy of good time could be heard from the front of the house. Zenyatta called Zeniya again as it went straight to voicemail. Zenyatta got up and went over to Devin who was sitting by Selina. Zenyatta sat on Devin's lap just to be petty as she wrapped her arm around his neck.
"Call Zeniya, bae". Zenyatta said as Devin snaked his arm around Zenyatta's waist. He used the other to take out his phone.
The patio door opened as Demonte yelled "Kali"! Everyone looked at door and watched Kali ran to Demonte. Soon, Zeniya came in with a man who wasn't Joe. Selina looked at the man as her eyes widen.
Demonte picked Kali up and walked over to Zeniya as Joe came out the house.
"You made it". He said.
"Yea, sorry I'm late, but you know I had to take care of the plan".
"You ready to move that bitch out".
"Yep. . . and Happy Birthday". She told him.
"Thank you, hey Joe". Demonte said.
"What's up".
Devin, Zenyatta, and Selina watched from a distance.
"You see that she's here. You can get off of him now". Selina said with an attitude.
"Shut up peasant"! Zenyatta said firmly.
Zeniya got the man by the arm and walked him over to her parents and Selina.
"Hey mama, hey Daddy. . . Selina. This is my mom, my dad, and his girlfriend Selina. This is. . . You can tell them who you are". Zeniya said.
"Let's go in the house". Demonte said as Zenyatta got up.
Devin, Selina, and Zenyatta followed Zeniya and the man in the house. While Demonte entertained with is nephew.
Joe stood by Zeniya as Selina got Devin's hand. Once the house was empty of any other guest.
"Babygirl, what is this"? Devin asked.
"Daddy, you know I love you and wouldn't fo anything to hurt you. Three months ago, I was out shopping and saw this". Zeniya said while pulling out her phone.
Devin looked at the picture of Selina kissing the man before him before Selina knocked the phone out of Zeniya's hand.
"Bitch". Zeniya said as her phone hit the floor.
"Lies, baby. Listen to me. I can explain". Selina said as Devin got out her grip.
"Who are you"? Devin asked the man.
"I am Jared Monroe. Selina's husband".
Devin started to look at Selina like he could rip off her face.
"Daddy, I'm sorry". Zeniya said.
"De, baby. . . . Breathe". Zenyatta said.
"Take your wife and leave my house. . . . And you divorce your husband". Devin told Jared and then turn to Zenyatta.
"Devin, please. Let me". Selina said.
"Get the fuck out"! Devin yelled as everyone jumped.
Selina stormed out as Jared followed her. Devin went upstairs and Zenyatta followed. Zeniya looked at Joe as she gave a weak smile. They party went on as the energy stayed balanced.

Later that night, Zeniya was putting Kali in the tub as her phone went off. She checked her phone and ran her tongue over lips. Before she could message her txt back, her phone started to ring.
"Hello"? She answered.
"Come see me". A deep voice said.
"No, I'm home with my family". She said.
"Okay, I'll come to you". He said.
"No! Give me an hour". Zeniya yelled then whispered before hanging up.
She looked up to find Joe standing there. Zeniya jumped a bit in shock.
"Hey baby". She said.
"Hey beautiful, who was that on the phone"? Joe asked.
"Nobody". Zeniya said locking her phone and turning to tub.
"Okay. Where are you going in a hour"? Joe asked.
Zeniya looked back at him and smiled.
"Nowhere baby". She told him.
"Okay". He said as he leaned on the door facing.
Zeniya bathed Kali and put him in his pjs. Then she put him to bed and kissed his forehead.
"I love Kali". Zeniya told Kali.
"Love you Mommy". Kali answered.
Zeniya left out the room and closed the door. She went in her room and into her bathroom. Zeniya stripped from her clothes and got in the shower. She cleansed her body and did her nightly routine. She put night clothes on and soon went bed as Joe stayed up to see if Zeniya was going to leave. Zeniya phone started ringing as she looked at her phone. After the ringing stopped a message came through.
Ji-Hoo: Where you at?
Zeniya laid still and took a deep breath. Then another message came through.
Ji-Hoo: Come open the door.
Zeniya jumped up out of bed after reading the message. Zeniya put her Bob's on and her boyfriend jacket. She out her phone in her pocket as she headed for the door. Joe was in the livingroom watching tv while Zeniya made her way out the front door.
She sat at the edge of her car as Ji-Hoo came out of nowhere.
"Make it quick". She told him.
"Why you acting like that"?
"I have a man. Ji-Hoo, why are you here? I've moved on I have a family now"? She said.
"You was supposed to wait, Zee. You know what it was, what it is". Ji-Hoo said as Zeniya rolled her eyes.
"I know what we had, but I also know what I have now with my family. That man in there, loves me and I know I'm disrespectful coming out here like this talking to you. So, tell me why are you here". She said.
"First of all, I loved you and I miss you". He said before Zeniya cut him off.
"Right, you 'Loved' me. You abandoned me and I ended up taking the blame. Let me live my life. I know you got girls hanging on to your every word. Let me go". Zeniya said.
"Tell me you dont love me and I will leave you alone to this broke lifestyle you live". Ji-Hoo said.
Zeniya stood up straight and looked up at Ji-Hoo.
"I don't love you, no more. I love myself". Zeniya told him.
"Wow, I never thought I would ever see the day that you would say". Ji-Hoo said.
Zeniya smiled and started going toward door.
"Can I get a hug"? He said.
Zeniya walked back over and hugged Ji-Hoo as he wrapped his arms around her. His mind was filled with thoughts. Ji-Hoo kissed Zeniya's forehead.
"I do love you and I'm going to be there when you come back to me".
