The next couple days, Zeniya and Amber was at the house. Joe had Kali and Zeniya was free for a few hours.

"Chica, so how long you and ole dude gone stay friends"?

"I dont know, I think he good with just being friends. He really ain't said nothing".

"You like him. . . .like him"?

"I don't like him". Zeniya said.

"Then what you doing with yoself Chica"? Amber asked as Zeniya sat by her on the edge of the bed.

"I think its more. I wont say I like or love him just yet. I adore the way his is with Kali. I've been through a lot and you know that". Zeniya said as Amber nodded.

"He amazing in very way. . .".

"Why do I feel like a "but" coming on"? Amber said.

"I'm just hesitant because of my insecurities. It's not him, I'm the one that is unsure of myself. I have been beaten, I have been broken to the point of wanting to die and you know this". Zeniya said.

"Trust me. I know, but you have Kali now. Our past is bound to sneak back up on us and from the looks of it Joseph has his bones in the closet too. He could use your protection and you could use his protection. If you wont do it for yourself. . . . Do it for Kali. The Pride is here if you need us".

"Thank you, but I could never go back. I had gotten news that Zaphyire and Kyrah was done with the Pride"?

"Hell nawl chica, we as strong as when we first formed. The Brotherhood has stepped in alliance. . . .  . I betcha Joseph's apart of gang.

"No, if he was a sign would have been shown by now". Zeniya said.

Amber gave Zeniya a look that said "Bitch, I know you ain't blind".

"What"? Zeniya asked as she got her handbag and keys.

"The dick that good that you forgot about the white bitch from a couple weeks ago did to you. Any person, to do that shit is in a gang or organization.  . .. whatever the fuck you want to call it. Sis, you need to pay attention. You been away from the Pride so long that you become blinded? Ain't no love that great for you to forget your teachings. Imma tell Headmistress". Amber said.

Zeniya smacked her lips as they walked out the house and Zeniya locked the door. They got in the car.

"Dont tell her nothing, you know how she get. I rather for you to tell Zaphyire and than Kyrah. Beside I left that world a long time ago. Zeniya said as she started the car.

"Yea I'm telling, she your best bet yet. She trained you, and you can't leave. No way out but by death and I know you not suicidal". Said Amber putting on they seatbelts on.

They soon left and went to the mall. They shopped and talked on. They went into Victoria Secret's and looked around. Amber picked out some sets and Amber picked out perfumes. Zeniya looked around more until she came up on a couple kissing like they would never kiss again. Before she could look away, she noticed the woman and took out her phone as Amber watched. Amber grabbed Zeniya phone and walked over to the table. Zeniya hid as Amber started acting like she was looking for a signal and then focused the camera on the couple and took a picture. Then another as the couple broke apart with a clear view of the man and woman faces. Amber put the phone in her pocket and finished shopping and checked out.

They left out the store later as they bumped into Chad.

"Hey ladies". Chad greeted.

"Hey Chad". Zeniya said as Amber looked at them.

"Hi". Amber said.

"How you been? I miss you".

"I've been good and you"? Zeniya said  with a smile.

"I miss you". He told her.

Zeniya smiled and looked down trying to hide her heated cheeks. Chad smiled as Zeniya shook off her feelings.

"Do you still have the same phone number"? He asked.

"Yea, but I'm with my baby daddy".

"I know, but I need to talk to you. Can I call you later"? Hed asked.

". .. .  ..  .Sure". Zeniya said as she got Amber's arm. "I got to go, I'll talk to you later". She finished as she walked away with Amber.

"Who was that? Is that an old friend of yours"? Amber asked.

"Yea, he was almost my boyfriend". Zeniya said as Amber looked back Chad.

Amber looked back at Zeniya as she noticed her face red.

"So, who was that couple in the VS"? Amber asked giving Zeniya her phone back.

"My dad's girlfriend Selina".

"No, no, no baby. What the hell he doing with a white girl . . . .  With his fine ass. Remember the last I saw him, he was dragging yo ass and complementing how beautiful the Pride was at the same time". Amber said as they walked out the mall.

"Yeah, and he didn't talk to me for a whole year. You know, the last time you and Zaphyire was down here. . . He figured it out and went off and was like dont talk to Zaphyire cause she bad news and shit. That's why I dont want to tell anyone drama filled life".

"Oh. Too late, I already told Kyrah. He just mad that Zaphyire treated him like hoe". Amber said as they walked to the car.

They chuckled and left the mall. Later, that night Amber left and Zeniya took a shower. While in the shower, Joe came home with Kali asleep in his arms. He put Kali to bed and went in Zeniya's room to check on her. Her phone started ringing as Joe walked over to it and saw Chad name across the screen. Zeniya cut the shower off as Joe left the room. He was furious that Chad was calling his woman. He contemplated on confronting Zeniya about it.
