Author's Note:
In this chapter, I make some jokes that are not intended to hurt anyone's feelings. I apologise for anything that makes you uncomfortable.

"Keerthy, do you wanna come home with us??" Soori asked.

"Dei, my mum told me to come home urgently, maybe tomorrow?"

Soori is Sivakarthikeyan's best friend since childhood. His profession is wrestling. I'm not surprised he has a girlfriend that always drools at him. She gets super jealous each time a girl speaks to him- forget that, even come close to him. Siva and Soori are super glued together, they go everywhere together. If one of them is I'll, the other sits at home, growing a beard and fasting until the other is well. Divya paavam. Ivalukku ippadi oru vaazhkai kidaikkumnu nechu kuda paakala.
*Facepalm.

"Ms. Keerthana Suresh, nee chumma excuse vidaathe, ippadi thaan pona muraiyum sonne, annaa, veettai vanthu paathaa, Pringles sappittu YouTube watch pannittu udamba valathuttu iruke?? Vaat is thees palakka thosham??" Babu yelled.

Okay, Babu (Yogi Babu, not Diamond Babu) is Prakash's cousin. They are the closest, that not even I can squeeze through them (coz they're boys, and boys have cooties).

"Nee muthal unda udamba paaru, naan diet-la irrukkanumaa illa nee diet-la irrukkanumaa? Itho paaru, naan poii sollala," and I showed the text message that my mum sent me.

That shut him up.

What he said next seriously messed with my head.

"Exactly Keerthy, I kept telling you that you shouldn't come, but you kept saying "Babu, please take me with you!!" So it was you who didn't listen to me. Trying to show me proof that your mum texted you to come with me isn't going to work."

"Huh?"

Babu let out a little giggle. I realised.
So giving him a smack on the cheek won't hurt. Will it?

"What was that for?"

"For your pathetic lie. Did you really think I was going to fall for it again??"

"Maybe. I thought you'd be that stupid little girl that you were when I met you 2 years ago."

"Suppel maadu. Mmkay, see ya later!"

"Bye!!" They both chorused.

And with that, I headed off to my house.

To get to my house, I had to walk down an alleyway, that was sometimes occupied with couples, but that was just some days. I would be really lucky if they weren't there. Just makes me feel bad about myself 😭.

So I was walking down the alleyway, and thank God there wasn't anyone there. I felt alone, so I decided to whip out my phone and texted Divya, seeing as she was the most likely person to text back.

Whilst I was waiting for a reply, I was scrolling through my Instagram, and all of a sudden...

BAM! I hit a brick wall, except this brick wall was wearing a gold chain and a blue shirt?
