Merlin: The Lost Prince

Prologue

A/N: Hello there! I hope you guys read the bio of this story because there are warnings for you to know. Also this is my first Merlin story, so please don't judge me. Please don't put hate comments because I will report it. I think that's all I need to say. Enjoy the story!

*Eight Years Ago*

Merlin was a prince of a magical kingdom called, Terseria. He was also one of the best swordsman and sorcerer in all of the kingdoms. Also he hated people calling him by his titles. In the kingdom of Terseria was so peaceful... Everyone was happy, Magic was allowed in the kingdom, magical creatures and dragons lived peacefully with people, and no war during those years.... until one day.

Prince Merlin was training all of his knights at the training grounds after the council meeting with King Balinor and Queen Hunith. It was very boring to him but he know that he has to do those kind of meetings when he becomes king in the future. Merlin was so deep in thought about himself being king while he was sat on a bench and taking a break from training.

"Merlin? Sire? Earth to Prince Merlin? HEY DOLLOPHEAD! WAKE UP!" Someone yelled and hits him on the back of his head. Merlin was startled and rubbed where he has been hit. "Ow! What was that for!" He shouted and looks at his knight, who was also his cousin. Lin Nico, one of the first ladies who became a knight of Terseria. "I was calling you, stupid. Laurence told me that we having a banquet tonight. So we better wash up and get ready, right after training. You don't want everyone to smell your sweat." Lin chuckled and grinned before she sat next to him. Merlin smiled at her joke and punched her arm.

He frowned a bit after they stopped laughing. Then, he asked her, a really stupid question for her. "Hey Lin? Do you think I would a good king for Terseria? Like I don't think I would be a good one..." Lin sighed very loudly and messed with his hair. "Of course you would be a good- no, a GREAT king for Terseria! For gods sake, Merlin, you're one of the best swordsman and sorcerer! Everyone will love you to be their king and all of your knights including me, we'll be at your side no matter what. Don't forget that." She said and put her arm around his shoulder. Merlin smiled again and thanked her.

Merlin and Lin instantly looked up when they heard Sir Will, Sir Liam, Sir James, and Sir Elliot yelled their names and ran up to them panically. "Merlin! We're under attack! There's an army and we have to leave now!" Sir Liam said quickly. Merlin and Lin got up and unsheathed their swords. "By who? Who's attacking us?" Lin asked and Sir Will cleared his throat. "By your father and mother.... Edward and Serena..." He said and Lin was shocked. She couldn't believe that her own parents were attacking the kingdom. She became furious and gripped the handle of her sword. "Let's go. We had to protect our people." Merlin said and about to run, but he was stopped by his knights. "We're sorry, Merls but we were instructed by your father to get you and your mother out of the kingdom to safety. Edward and Serena wants you dead. We can't let that happen." Sir Will explained.

"What about the people? What about the kingdom? I can't just leave them here." Merlin said and tried to get through them. "Merlin, we have to leave. Your father got this. Just leave everything to him, okay? Besides who's gonna protect your mother?" Sir Will said and put his hand on Merlin's shoulder. "Will is right. You need to leave. We can't let my father and mother kill you. If this makes you feel better. All of the knights and I will get the people to safety and help your father in the battle. Will can protect and go with you and your mother." Lin said confidently. Merlin thinks about it for a second and hesitantly agreed. "Fine but you guys better not die on me. Is that clear?" He said like it was an order. "Yes sire." All of the knights said and nodded.

Lin and the knights quickly ran to the town and get the people out of the kingdom before they went to battle and help their king. Merlin and Sir Will went to the secret escape tunnel to meet up with Queen Hunith and travelled to a village called, Ealdor. It was two days walk to get to Ealdor, so they set up camp for the first night. Queen Hunith was already resting while Sir Will and Merlin were sitting near the fire and talking. "I wished my father didn't instruct you to make me leave... I could have help and stop the battle..." Merlin said and using a stick to poke the fire. "Your uncle and aunt wanted to kill you and your mother. He couldn't let that happen. Don't worry... we'll get our kingdom back. No matter what. You believe me right?" Sir Will said and shakes his shoulder a bit. Merlin smiled and punched his arm gently. "Yeah I believe you. I just hope you're right." He said happily but a bit of sadness in his tone. Two days later, they arrived to Ealdor and lived there until Merlin was eighteen and had to go to Camelot to learn how to control his magic. Then, he learned that he has a destiny with a prince who was a prat but also the Once and Future King, Arthur Pendragon. And he will protect him by being his personal manservant and with some help from his new friends, the Knights of the Roundtable, Gaius, Gwen, and his magic. But what would happen if he has to face something or someone, who might interfere his destiny?
