Happy little family

Tony's POV

The Avengers sat around in the common room when I walked in. I was busy in lab with Peter all night last night, before he had to swing home that is, and Pepper forcing me to go to sleep. The Rouges were pardoned, tension was high with me and Steve. So I tired to avoid him at all costs.

I walked into the kitchen to grab coffee, avoiding Bucky on the way in. I grab a mug Peter got me randomly sometime last month. I made eye contact with on the the bird brains, specifically Sam. He's always been stubborn to me, not that I minded, he just caused problems when he wouldn't listen to me.

I grabbed my coffee and made my way to the common room, sat far from Steve and the others, minus Nat since she was mature and was in the middle of the situation. Bruce and Thor were on Asgard doing something that I wasn't paying attention too. I took a quick look at my STARKPad with a bunch of business emails that I have yet to complete for Pepper, And the time reading 2:30

I start quickly, feeling a few stares as I grabbed files and started my work, which I understand I'm never one to work willingly. The kid took a toll on my work ethic since he's here a lot, he was like a second Pepper when I didn't do what I was supposed to.

I sat there in the commons for about an hour, and past the time Peter would usually start patrol.

"Hey, Tony?" I hear Nat address me

"Yeah..?" I ask keeping my attention on my work, almost complete

"Steve's making dinner, are you going to join us this time?" She asked and had a slight hint of sadness in her voice.

"Sure, I haven't in a long time." I spoke with and a shy smile.

"Well, let's go. Steve should be serving it soon." Nat said with a happier tone, probably thankful that she finally convinced me to be in a close proximity to Rogers and the others.

I set my tablet down along with the many files that I had gone over. Most of them talked about the new technological ideas from many departments, R&D's future projects and other safety things that is all a jumble in my head.

As I walked into the dining area that was connected to the kitchen, I could feel the tension and I could, quite possibly, cut it with a knife. I looked to Nat, Why did I let her convince me to do this? I sat down and waited, I didn't eat much and only talked to Nat and talked some science with Scott. To me it was and improvement.

While me and Scott were talking about different chemicals and what they could do FRIDAY interrupted.

"Boss, Peter's heart rate seems to have increased." Came the robotic assistant spoke up slightly sounding worried, shocking the others.

"How?" I said quickly "What's going on FRI?"

"Peter seems to be having an adrenaline rush and can't feel a good majority of his injuries. Would you like to connect to Karen?" She asked

"Yes! Please do that!" I was just as shocked as Steve and them, It care a lot for the kid

"It will be a moment,Boss"

"try as fast as you can." I said while putting my plate on the counter and started pacing around the kitchen.

"Tony? Who's Peter?" Wanda asked

"None of your guys' business." I snapped

"Tony is he okay?" Nat asked, surprising the others too. She got up and side hugged me

"God, Nat I have no clue, He's giving me grey hairs..." I trailed off

"Mr.Stark!" I heard the familiar voice of Karen seep through the ceiling.
