“Go and get me some candy or something will you?”

You jolted slightly as the ten-dollar note appeared under your nose and you glanced beside you at your boyfriend who was lazily staring out the windshield of the car and holding out his hand towards you

“I don’t want any” you refused with a slight shake of your head

He turned his face towards you with a tedious sigh

“Well, I do” he urged as he pushed the note closer to your face, with a frustrated sigh you snatched it threw open the car door, as you stepped out you looked towards the screen as the lights dimmed and “Our Feature Presentation” faded in

“I’m gonna miss the start of the movie” you whined with a slight stomp of your foot

“This wasn’t your fucking choice anyway, now get your ass over to the stand and get me something to eat!” he barked through the front seat as you frowned.

Billy pushed a stick of mint gum past his smile as he witnessed the events unfold from his position, leaning against the driver’s door of the Camaro, his blue eyes watching through the growing darkness of the drive-in as you stomped away from the car, shaking your head in annoyance as you walked. He gave a soft laugh to himself and started to walk slowly behind you. Girls pissed off at their boyfriends were easy prey and he’d been watching that guy yell at you in the hallways for weeks, he studied your form from behind as you walked and how the soft light from the concession stand highlighted your hair from behind. He quickened his pace slightly, striding by you and taking a position in the queue in front of you, grinning to himself as he heard your weary sigh from behind.

You tapped your foot as you waited, grimacing at the person who had just made a point of rushing ahead of you and taking your sought after place in the line, you looked at him, starting at his heavy black boots, your eyes tracing the tight, blue denim that clung to his thighs and up to his waist where a baby blue shirt was half-assedly tucked in, the material stretched over broad shoulders as dirty blonde curls tumbled down around the collar and around his ears. Billy Hargrove. You tilted your head slightly as you watched him step forward in the queue, watching the way he moved in what you decided was a strategically designed outfit, made for making girls like you, stare at him as he walked by or better yet, while he stood in front of you at the concession stand.

“And what would the lady like?” the low, hoarse voice snapped you from your thoughts and you realized he was looking over his shoulder, facing you slightly, you could just see him laughter lines framing lips pulled upwards into a smile and you felt your cheeks involuntarily grow hot.

You glanced down and saw his hand wrapped around a large soda with a red straw poking out and then back up to his face where he raised his eyebrows in anticipation for your reply

“The lady can order her own things” you smiled back sweetly

“She would also like to get by” you followed up quickly as you stepped in front of him, placing both hands on the counter and leaning over to look at the candy

Billy ran the straw of his drink across his bottom lip as he watched you stretch to look, your denim skirt hitching up just a little, leaving not much, but enough to his imagination. He barely heard you speaking to the attendant as he ran his blue eyes down the shape of your legs, then slowly back up your body.

You turned away from the counter with a sigh and a look of surprise spread across your face when you found Billy still stood there, cow chewing his gum loudly as he grinned at you

“Is there something you want, Billy?” you asked as you frowned at him slightly

“Always” he purred back, his voice so low it almost gave you goosebumps
