Ch5; The Oracle (Calypso's POV)

I woke up to the smell of burning wood. Dear gods, Leo wasn't making more bacon, was he?

I ran out of bed and down the hall to find that no body was in their beds, nor was Leo anywhere in sight.

I took a nice long shower and went to breakfast. Since I was not to be claimed, I could sit anywhere I wanted to. Obviously, I sat with Annabeth.

"Morning!" she said, sounding excited.

"Good morning," I began, "so what's up with you?" I said, smirking at her.

"Well.... Percy is taking me on a date tonight, and its a suprise!"

We both sqealed with delight.

"Hey," I asked, "have you seen Leo this morning?"

"oh yea, but I saw him run past me into the Big House before breakfast." she answered.

I knew exactly why he was going into the Big House.

The Oracle.

Annabeth and I went to Mythology classes and then archery.

We invited Hazel and Piper over to Annabeth's cabin.

OH. MY. GODS.

I have a slight feeling Annabeth was a bit bibliomaniacal.

There were books literally everywhere.

Although, I wasn't that surprised, considering she was the daughter of Athena and all.

"So guys," I started talking, "I'm, um, hearing my prophecy today."

All the girls gasped.

"Cal, seriously?! That's dangerous!!" Piper cried.

"I know, I know"

Hazel spoke up, "Calypso, I know your new and all and we shouldn't be putting so much pressure on you, but the Oracle of Delphi, her prophecies, they've caused deaths"

I have a really good feeling my face turned white.

"I-I know, but I have to, it's alrig-"

I chuckled a bit and cut myself off, speaking to Hazel now.

"Um, Haz, I hate to alarm you, but, uhh, there's a whole bunch of diamonds around you."

Piper and Annabeth snickered.

"UGHHH! DAAAD!"

She banged on the floor frantically.

A black rose popped up in her hands, and I questioned it.

"You know, Hades, death god, BLACK rose." She said, waving her hands in mid-air.

"Ahh yes." I replied.

"So, Annabeth, any new inventions? Is Daedalus' laptop still up and running?" demanded Piper.

"Jeez, Pipes, chill. And yeah, it still works, like its brand new"

I was so confused I honestly thought I should scream.

"Who's what?"

"Oh yea, Daedalus, creator of the labyrinth. You know like, the minotaur" Annabeth responded.

Of course, how could I forget.

BEEP! BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!i

"Oh my gods!" Annabeth screamed "I have to get ready for my date with Perce!"

She shooed us up and out the door.

"Kay guys, you need to get out, I needa change. I'll talk to you guys later!" we waved at her goodbye.
