The other side

Nobodys POV
The blue paladin died when saving the castle from an ion cannon blast. Everyone on the team, was screaming when they saw him heading for it but they were to late.
"Don't worry, you'll find a new paladin better than I ever could have been" were his last words before the blast hit him. After the blast and the shock had mostly worn off they grabbed lance and his lion and brought him down to the planet they were saving, one full of beautiful bodies of naturally purple tinted water and always clear skys to see the stars. As they landed they went and talked to the planets leader, asking them if they could burry lance there. The planets leader said yes and the team went to a patch of grass near the sea.
Lances POV
I had been watching for about an hour now. I know im dead, its easy to figure out. I sighed as they dug my grave, hunk having to take a break every few minutes to wipe his eyes. Finally they finished and i moved to lean on keith, i don't go through things but people don't really feel anything when i touch them, though keith seems to sense my presence and smiled a small, sad smile. Shiro still had his strong dad voice but i could sense that he was deeply sad. Everyone was crying at this point. I felt guilty, they shouldn't have to deal with this sadness...they barely liked me in general as far as i could tell. I saw hunk stare at the spot they had buried me in. He walked to it and sat down next to it.
"Hey buddy...im uh...im really going to miss you man. Your abuela and the rest of your family are really going to miss you. I hope you do alright in the after life...since your in heaven i bet your out as bi now right? I know youll get all of the guys amd girls there, they'll love you buddy..be careful okay? Were all going to be thinking of you..hell i bet your here right now standing with your man." he looked over at keith but stared right past him, it was as if he could see me. He knows me really well...im gonna miss his friendship...and his cooking. Everyone was silent, they all looked confused. Hunk and pidge looked at them with a confused face back "oh...he didnt tell you guys he was bi did he? He told pidge and i back at the garrison a few months after we met" everyone looked stunned
"Why didnt he tell us?" Keith mumbled it like he wished i had told them, i frowned slightly, knowing that hunk would explain.
"His family was very homophobic, they found out and casted him out until he said it was just a phase and he grew out of it, just to be accepted in the family. He was still in girl mode I guess, he didnt want what happened with his earth family to happen with his space family." Everyone looked sadder now. I knew I shouldn't have told that I was bi back when i was alive, though I'm glad that they know now. I leaned on keith and looked at him. He looked broken, like a kicked puppy.
"I-we loved him so much...how could he think that.." Keith had finally broken the silence. I sighed and hugged him, I'm aware that that did nothing but it's the thought that counts. Everyone else said a few things before they all left. They really did love me...I'm so glad that I got to hear that all..
