Playing With My Heartstrings

It all started with a guitar. Abbie's guitar to be exact.

She sat in her room strumming along to a tune known as Amnesia, singing along as her fingers moved along the strings.

"I wish that I could wake up with amnesia, and forget about this stupid little thing, like the way it felt to fall asleep next to you, and the memories I never can escape."

A knock came from her door as her friend Kylie slowly opened it.

"No I'm really not fine at all." She sang the last line as the final strum of the guitar echoed through the room.

A small clapping noise was heard and Allie turned around to see Kylie. She smiled.

"Hey girl what's up?"

"I'm recording a new cover for youtube."

Abbie pointed to the camera set up on her tripod before pressing a few buttons on her laptop as the video transferred.

Kylie walked over and sat on the bean bag chair in the corner of the room.

"You keep recording! I promise I'll be quiet!" She said making the lip locking motion.

Abbie laughed "I'm already done."

Now she was editing the video to upload to her youtube channel, also known as, Abbie5SOS5

"Aaaaaaaaand there!" She sang as she pressed another button. The screen popped up as the video began to play on her channel.

She pulled out her phone to tweet the update for her channel.

"@Abbie5SOS5 New video! This time covering Amnesia!"

She had done covers of many 5SOS songs from Good Girls to Greenlight. They were her favorite band and she had a particular crush on Luke Hemmings.

Kylie walked over and leaned over Abbie's shoulder looking at the computer screen.

"Wow." She said, "37 views already! It's only been 5 minutes!!"

Abbie looked up from her phone.

"What?" She said, her eyes looking at the climbing number (now at 38)

"I swear one day you're gonna be famous Abbie!" Kylie laughed.

Abbie smiled wide as she thought about it, before a blush crept on at the thought of Luke and her performing together.

"I- I don't know." She said looking down at her lap. But she kept the smile.

Later that night Abbie laid in her bed thinking. Since Kylie left the views went up to over 200.

She stared at the ceiling, thoughts pondering in her head.

'Will I be famous? Or is it all just a hopeful dream?'

She turned to her side and grabbed her phone from the nightstand to give one last tweet before bed.

Turning it back off and putting it back where it was she pulled the covers up to her chin and fell asleep, thinking about performing live with those boys.
