Chapter 10

Taehyung pov

"Why are we all here?" I ask with a hint of confusion, leaning against Kris hyung, who envelops me with his broad frame. His large body offers a sense of comfort and security, and I find myself tucked under his protective embrace, feeling the warmth radiating from him. 

Suho shifts his gaze to the physician seated at the end of the table, a serious look etched across his face. "Mr. Nam," he prompts, his voice steady but laced with anticipation. "You've discovered some crucial information about the man we found, haven't you?" 

Mr. Nam nods slowly, the weight of his knowledge evident in the furrow of his brow. "Yes," he replies, his tone grave. "And it will come as a shock to most of you to learn who he really is." His words hang in the air, heavy with implications, and I can't help but frown, a sense of foreboding washing over me as I wonder what revelations lie ahead.

"What do you mean, what is he?" I ask, confusion lacing my voice as Hyung's grip tightens protectively around me. The warmth of his presence offers a strange comfort amidst my swirling thoughts.

"He is not human," Hyung replies with a serious tone, his eyes narrowing as he looks at me. "If he were, he wouldn't have been able to control the fire in the forest like he did." His expression holds an intensity that sends a shiver down my spine, making me feel the weight of his words.

Baekhyun Hyung raises a brow, his curiosity piqued. "Then what exactly is Mr. Nam?" he inquires, his tone hinting at disbelief. 

Hyung lets out a sigh, gathering his thoughts before responding. "He is... a wolf hybrid," he states slowly as if testing the words on his tongue. "An omega wolf."

Our eyes widen in shock at the revelation. The term 'omega' is laden with implications we had only heard whispers about, adding another layer to the mystery surrounding Mr. Nam. The very concept is both fascinating and daunting, leaving us grappling with a flood of questions about what this means for him—and for us.

"But how can that be? How can a hybrid walk among us, but we can't recognize him? You know this place can't-" Chanie hyung stops when Chen hyung holds him back

"I know but that the truth he is a wolf, even I couldn't sense him. His body must have gone through something for us not to know his true nature. Besides, he was in the abandoned forest and anything is possible in it" Mr. Nam gives me a quick look before turning to Suho hyung making me confused

"Then he is a threat to us, we need to get rid of him now before he brings trouble to us" Sehun hyungs said making his way to the door

"No!" I shout, my heart racing as I recoil from hyung's harsh grip. With a surge of determination, I dash to Taehyung's side and position myself protectively in front of him. "Taehyung, we need to get out of here! We have to escape before he finds a way to hurt you!"

Hyung's expression is a mix of frustration and fear as he pleads, "He is not a threat! Just listen to me!" His voice reverberates with urgency, the tension crackling like electricity in the air around us.

I can feel the anger bubbling inside me as I glare back at him. "How can you say that? He doesn't even remember who he is! He can't hurt me or any of us!" My voice rises, the words tumbling out in a rush as I defend Taehyung. 

"That's where you're wrong!" hyung retorts, his eyes wide with intensity. "You don't know what might happen! His memories could return at any moment. And when they do, he'll come after you for your powers—he could kill!" The weight of his words hangs in the air, casting a shadow over the room.

But I refuse to let his fear convince me. "You don't know that either!" I counter, my voice steadier now, filled with conviction. "You can't just jump to conclusions like that. He hasn't done anything to hurt us! I won't let you harm him; he's been through enough already!" My protective instincts flare, and I stand firm, determined to shield Taehyung from both hyung's anger and his own uncertain past.
