"Are you seriously playing Taylor Swift?" I ask Liyana as soon as I enter the house. She turns around quickly, I'm surprised she didn't get a whiplash.

As usual she is dressed in comfortable short shorts, an over sized vest with a sports bra and no shoes. She rarely wears make up and I think she looks better without it. "It is a remix of her song but yeah, I'm a Tay Tay fan. It's not a shame to be black and be a Taylor Swift fan." I chuckle a bit, putting the grocery bags on the counter of the kitchen.

"Where is Aaliyah? It is like Friday afternoon." She starts unpacking the groceries, moving swiftly as always. "Repeat the last part of your statement." Furrowing my eyebrows, I repeat the last sentence.

"It is like Friday afternoon... oh." Knowing Aaliyah, probably she is out with someone. "Isn't it the end of orientation week today? Who the hell is she going out with? She is new."

"Why are you even surprised with that? You know that girl is full of surprises." She mutters more to herself and turns to me. "You going out tonight?"

"Why ask?" I raise my eyebrow at her and she shrugs, she is really down. This break up must have taken a huge toll on her. "Cause I'm asking."

"Yeah I am and guess what? I'm taking you with." She stops moving around the kitchen and narrows her cute dark brown eyes at me. "For the why?"

"You need to live life a little and I'm pretty sure you never went out before." She shakes her head and continues packing up. "Shuiab, you're a man whore, you would leave me for some dumb girl and make out with her or something." I don't know why that statement makes my heart squeeze but it does.

I mean it is the truth. Then why does it annoy me.

"Oh wow, but I would leave you with some great company. Have a little faith in me." I scowl at her slightly and it doesn't bother her at all. "Why you being nice?"

"I'm not an evil monster you know. I'm not the same guy from that time. People can grow up." I exit the kitchen, feeling annoyed with her responses. Why did the truth coming from her annoy me so much?

Anyway I decide to get ready since I know S'bu will come back and want to go out. After taking a long shower, I choose an outfit for the club then I decide on which hairstyle I want to do. I hear someone open the door while I'm putting on my pants. I turn to see S'bu and a small smile finds my lips.

It has always been a ritual, the weekend before the beginning of proper classes, S'bu and I with some other friends go out to the strip as a celebration. I'm quite excited that he managed to leave work early to do it.

"Do you really think I'd miss our ritual man?" S'bu ask, a smile appearing. "Is Liyana coming?" I ask, hoping maybe she might change her mind. S'bu shrugs, throwing himself on the bed. "She is not really into that."

I pull my t-shirt over my head, "She seems down with the whole break up with Lucky. She need to loosen up, she is abit stuck up." He laughs, agreeing with me. S'bu and Liyana do not look similar, S'bu is way more dark skinned then his baby sister. As she always calls him, navy blue black.

But one thing I know, S'bu loved his sister more then anything in the world. If any of his friends would glance at her, he would get angry and punch them. He didn't think any of his friends are worthy of her.

"Yeah, let me call her. LIYANA!"

"WHAT?"

"WOZA LANA (come here)!" I roll my eyes at how loud they are. I can already imagine her scoffing. After a while, my bedroom door opens and she leans against the door frame, arms folded. "Yini (What)?" She asks in a grumpy manner. I guess heartbreaks can do that to people.
